Egg- Cellent fun - This was a great experience. Ruby was a gem and she was an excellent teacher whose English was perfect with an American accent even. She taught us to make 4 types of coffee while we frothed and poured. I learned a new party trick to enjoy. The Cyclo ride was for an hour and we toured around stopping at the Opera house and the Catholic church. Experiencing traffic from a seat had a few WOW moments. Highly recommend for anyone, and I don't actually like coffee, but I may like it now.

Our fantastic tour and terrific tour guide Nick - This was one of the best tours in Hanoi all thanks to Nick. He was at the meeting point before time, he found us, made us feel at home, took a lot of care in ensuring we were safe during the entire tour. He's knowledge of the old quarter is great, and i need to mention that he's an amazing photographer aswell, make sure you get him to click some pics for you guys, he knows the lighting, spots everything. His recommendation of the egg coffee and coconut coffee were great, and i particularly liked the packaging we got the drinks in. Make sure to get this as a take away so that you can sip on it during the cyclo tour and beat the heat. Had we known of Nick earlier, we'd have booked him for our remaining tours aswell.

NICETIES of NINH BIN - After completing a hectic and fun filled full day tour of Hanoi with Water Puppet show came an excursion of Ninh Bin. The tour was once again planned and organised by Lana of Crossing Vietnam. It was indeed a well thought and every detail was minutely worked out. Fifi once again was our tour guide. It was amazing to see the way she coordinated and organised all the vital activities during the tour. At Nin Binh, the old capital of Hoa Lu was a journey in to the past. But the best was yet to come in the way of Tom Cac river boat ride. It was a refreshing change from the hustle bustle and with cool wind blowing through out the ride passing from the lime stone mountains caves, was a memorable experience. We were lucky to have been advised to carry umbrella by Fifi. The next came a test of fitness, resolve , aptitude and stamina. The 500 steps climb was quite a challenge not advisable for anyone having health issues. Successful completion of climb and reaching the top was a huge sense of accomplishment worth the effort. After the climb down was a short visit to the lotus pond and farm. An excellent place for clicking some beautiful pics. Never ever seen such beautiful, exotic lotus flowers together at one place. Brought back some beautiful memories. All thanks to Fifi and Lana whose planning , valuable tips and not to forget the cheerful disposition with bright smile. She knew the places like the back of her palm and always ready with solution to any issue. Will never forget the trip and Fifi.

Excellent day trip at Tam Coc and Mua Cave with FiFi - We went on the Ninh Binh day trip from Hanoi in a private group of 6. The trip was well-planned and executed and our guide was the wonderful FiFi. We first visited Hoa Lu. The Dinh and Le temples are beautiful and FiFi provided us with a lot of interesting information. She explained the history of the two dynasties and the significance of the dragon beds. We enjoyed visiting the temples and learning about this part of Vietnam's history. Next we enjoyed a 1.5 hour boar ride in Tam Coc. The landscape is beautiful and serene, and we traveled between rice fields and through caves. This activity is very touristy and there were photographers and folks selling snacks and drinks. There was a lot of pressure to buy something at the turning point. FiFi had warned us about this, so we were expecting it. Otherwise, we enjoyed the boat ride. Finally, we made our way to Mua Cave. The climb was moderately difficult, as some stairs were quite steep. Fortunately, it didn't rain, otherwise it may have gotten very slippery. The view was worth the climb. Wear good sneakers and take water with you! The final climb to the dragon was really crowded and felt unsafe, so some of us didn't go. There is also a lotus lake at the entrance of Mua Cave, that we visited at the end. It was beautiful as the lotus flowers had just bloomed. Our tour guide, FiFi was exceptional! She was always on time, is very knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. She was patient with the climb at Mua Cave and adjusted to our pace. As some if us are vegetarian, she made sure the food met our dietary needs. She took care of all the details, including giving us recommendations for dinner when we returned. She is friendly, personable, funny, and a great photographer. We 100% recommend FiFi!! Thanks for a great tour!

Private tour with knowledgeable guide Andy - Scheduled a last minute private tour with Andy and everything was great. Hike up the mountain for Mua Cave was not too bad and had a great view at the top when it's clear. The boat tour has great views but expect the standard tourist trap with people trying to take your pictures and sell you stuff at the turn around point. Overall, it was a good day tour and would recommend it as a group tour. Our guide was Andy and he is a great guy. Also he was punctual in the morning as we got an early start in order to catch our flights later that afternoon. Very knowledgeable about the area and just providing insights into Vietnamese culture. He was open to any questions we had, even though those can be hard to be answered.

Ninh Binh Mua cave and boating trip - We took our tour with Fifi on 5 Aug 2023. Fifi was friendly and professional, and brought us around to the different places of interest while keeping close eye on our schedule (as we had a somewhat tight timeline). She shared with us interesting facts of that places we visited. The places of interest were of immense natural beauty, and while some of them involved climbing steep steps to get to, the views were well worth it.
