Fun, scenic place for a paddle - Our guide was so friendly and accommodating in every way. We had some very typical Florida weather and it rained right as our tour was set to begin. Our guide gave us all of the options and ultimately we decided to continue our trip as neither of us minded the rain at all. Our guide showed us some neat spots along the river, including two sets of springs. Despite the rain, it was a great day out on the water!

Great paddle - Been on this river several times over the years but wasnt able to bring my kayak so I rented from get up and go. Experienced stuff I haven't on my previous paddles there thanks to guide Crosby, and his assistant Owen was so helpful when docking my kayak in one particular tricky spot and helped me get out without face planting into the water. Wouldn't have been able to have such a great paddle on this recent stay in the area if it weren't for get up ans go!

Awesome tour with cool guide! - We scheduled a morning tour with this outfitter, and our guide, Adrien, was a super chill local guy. He was very informative about the surroundings when we wanted, but also gave us silence to just enjoy the beauty as well. The last stop on the tour was a spot with crystal clear water with "pot holes" we were able to dip into. We also got Adrien to dip into one, lol!! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend this to anyone.

The river was beautiful... - The river was beautiful and easy to paddle. We kayak alot and are used to seeing wildlife but we saw hardly any wildlife. You cant see anything through the clear bottom kayak. We like to have a tour guide so we can learn about the river and area but our guide knew very little which was disappointing. He was super nice though. If we ever do the Chaz again, we will just rent kayaks.

Instagram vs Reality moment for sure - I had said to my girlfriend who I was with on the tour that this was absolutely like those Instagram reels where it shows you this picturesque setting and then you get there and it’s not what you expect. That isn’t on the tour guide company really, but expectations prior could’ve been set in FAQ section around seasonality of what it will be like on The Chaz during the summer months if you are not familiar with the area. Negatives: The first stop was very pretty, but was ruined by the 75+ people there drinking and smoking weed while blasting music. Again, if I had known that this was a summer hang out spot I probably would’ve opted for the earlier tour vs later tour. Then the second spring spot was really cool to see the spring bubbling up, but it almost felt awkward paddling right up to someone’s house and dock to view it. Then the final area we headed to was The Crack, which every person we passed on the paddle up said it was super murky due to this past hurricane season. If that’s been going on since the fall that should be disclosed to people since it was brought up in the description as part of the tour. Positives; Got to spend the day out on the water with my girlfriend and see a new area. The tour guide, it was his first day doing a solo tour, was very energetic, upbeat and informative. Was a big fan of him! Summary: I’m an experienced kayaker, and had hoped that this would’ve been a bit more of a hidden paradise and scenic trip for a date. Instead it turned into us just paddling about and enjoying the sun. If you’ve kayaked more than 3x I’d recommend renting a kayak on your own and printing a map to navigate the area.

Not at all worth the money! - The areas we were kayaking in were beautiful. How ever I would NEVER have advertised this as a guided tour, our so called “guide” showed up late never even introduced himself & had two young men there that were to shadow him as they just got hired on, even the two of them were surprised by the guides lack of efforts in leading us or even talking about the things we were doing! At one point they asked if we paid for this trip. Our guide was more times than not trailing behind, showed no enthusiasm, offered no help getting the 64yo woman in or out of the kayak, let 2 in the group go the wrong with the trainees who knew nothing calling them back. Once we arrived back to the docks, our “guide” was again so far behind that we had to get ourselves out and pull all the kayaks in, Which brings up the condition of the equipment….we were filthy once we got out all covered in black on our legs and arms. I absolutely would not recommend this tour especially for the price that was paid.
