Incredible - don’t hesitate to book ! - Incredible trip , everything I could have imagined and more . I was lucky enough to go with Garl who is a kind , thoughtful and wonderfully knowledgable man . I learnt so much about the flora and fauna of the Everglades . The highlight for me was walking in the cypress dome - it was outstandingly beautiful and nothing exists like it .Seeing a Barred owl was a particular highlight . What a privilege . Kayaking was great too , alligators , crocodiles , birds a plenty . I can’t recommend this highly enough - thank you to Garl and Debbie for a wonderful trip I will never forget .

Couple trip - This tour was amazing. The best part of our trip. It was a great way to see the everglades with such an amazing knowledgeable tour guide. We got to see everything we wanted to see. I'm not the best kayaker but it was manageable. Garl made sure he took his time to show us everything the everglades had to offer. If we ever come back I am booking another tour. If your looking for a tour this is the best hands down.

Infectious enthusiasm for a beautiful place - Garl was a great guide! We did a slog (walking in the water) and saw alligators, bromeliads, birds and the flooded forest which was a magical experience. Then freshwater kayaking where we saw alligators and crocodiles. Garl was very patient and helpful as we navigated the mangrove tunnels. The third part was saltwater kayaking. It was raining pretty hard by then but Garl was willing to work with our decisions, so two of our group went out paddling. The effort and drenching was rewarded with some amazing sights: dolphins and flamingos, so cool!

Unparalleled… just wow. - This was a very special trip. Garl is one of a kind, and can put you on the wildlife in an incredible way. Not for the faint of heart! You will hike in mud or water, get up close with crocs and gators, kayak down tight channels to see things you can only see on planet earth!!!! It’s amazing.

Forget the airboat - this is the best way to experience the Everglades - That our kids dealt with wading through hip-deep water with tricky under-foot terrain - we didn't tell them or they'd never have gone - is all down to Garl being so patient and engaging throughout. (Not to mention understanding of us not reading the email about filling the car up with gas before the trip.) Can't imagine a better way to experience the area without disturbing the wildlife - and yes, we did kayak past a croc. We managed to couple this with a trip round the scenic loop near Everglades City (car trip, gators everywhere) and really felt like we'd got the best of both worlds.

Family Tour through the Everglades - Garl was a great guide and took us through parts of the Everglades we wouldn't have known about and have been brave enough to go to alone. We saw a croc, a gator, two manatees, edible plants, and exotic air plants and orchids. He was full of information and packed all the gear we would need. He is great with kids! The meet up Robert is Here fruit stand was a bonus as they had the most amazing fruits for sale, some of which we have never heard of.

Amazing tour for nature lovers - Garl is a top notch guide, sort of a mix between Crocodile Dundee and David Attenborough. We saw multiple alligators, crocodiles, manatees, ospreys, and lots of other birds and plants native to the ecosystem. We learned a lot about the everglades. Mostly what stood out was Garl's ability to take us to the right spot to see all these animals, and his phenomenal knowledge of the area. Cannot recommend enough!

Unique, unforgettable trip to the Everglades - The trip with Garl's Coastal Kayaking to the Everglades was the highlight of our family vacation in Florida. We were able to experience beautiful nature far away from mass tourism. The tour was suitable for all ages and Garl managed, despite the relatively large group, to take everyone's interests into account and to infect us with his enthusiasm for his "office ;-)". He gave us a lot of information about the local animals and plants, but also shared personal experiences with us and answered all questions patiently. I have never experienced a guide who was so competent and at the same time so dedicated to his work. Unfortunately, something like that is very rare. We are very happy that, despite initial concerns about whether such a "wet walk" could be dangerous, we chose this excursion over an airboat tour. Even though the cost of a full-day, guided excursion for a family is not insignificant, the unforgettable experience was definitely worth the money. The combination of the various activities such as wet walking, kayaking in mangroves and on the open sea was varied and unique. We can fully recommend Garl's Coastal Kayaking. Thank you again for the wonderful day!
