Additional Information
You will be collected directly from your hotel by local guides in a car and taken to the Cam Thanh coconut water village, where the bamboo basket boat awaits. Entry tickets, bottled water, and fruit will be provided at our restaurant. Dress up in the traditional Vietnamese costume, Ao Dai, to embark on a basket boat journey through the canals of the Bay Mau Nipa forest. This is your chance to experience authentic Vietnamese countryside, try crab fishing and learn traditional fishing methods from the friendly locals. You will also learn how to navigate the basket boat and witness the exciting activities such as basket boat spinning, net casting, and crab catching. Afterward, we would return to our restaurant before escorting you back to your hotel.

A goofy, happy time—with a lunch to die for!! - So much fun!! A bit silly without a kid to use as an excuse, but what a hoot!! Nonstop laughing hard to avoid as you go floating and twirling in a basket, captained by a fellow senior whose infectious spirit could brighten ANYONE’s day!! There was a carnival atmosphere on the river, watching performers twirl oats and spin (un)-lucky passengers. The meal that we returned to was SUBLIME!! Cannot recommend this tour—and the family running it—highly enough!!

Fun boat ride - Had a fun time in the basket boat tour through the coconut jungle - driver was friendly and our hostess was nice too. Things went very smoothly and time/schedule was prompt.

Fun boat trip and fishing - Genuinely lovely people own this business. The boat ride was awesome - we caught four crabs and got tons of great photos! The refreshing coconut at the end was the best surprise.

Highly recommend - It was such a fun day! We learn a lot on the market about all the food we were going to be cooking with and the chefs were so helpful and fun when teaching us how to cook the meals

Must do in Hoi An! - If you're in Hoi An and want a unique and fun experience, I recommend this tour. Not only will you enjoy the beautiful basket boats, see the coconut forest, and go crab fishing, but you will also enjoy an amazing meal with a local chef. I highly recommend going hungry for both food and a memorable adventure!

Great tour to coconut island! - It was a very enjoyable visit! Got to row the boat, see how fishing nets are cast and crabs as well. Post that came back to a refreshing talk with Tram!

Absolutely perfect! Had a great time ! - We had a great boattrip! The driver was very funny took many photos of us. We didnt taste the food from the cooking class. But it smelled very good !

More educational and less karaoke would be preferable. - The lady who greeted us was very friendly and informative. The boat tour was very busy with other tourists so it might be better to go early in the morning. We were expecting a more ‘eco tourism’ and educational experience and less karaoke and loud music on the river. It wasn’t very relaxing but some people may like this type of experience more, just not for us.
