Jonathan Dickinson State Park, located in Hobe Sound, Florida, is the southernmost habitat for species such as the Florida Scrub-Jay and the Red-cockaded Woodpeckers. The park frequently hosts wildlife including Bachman’s Sparrow, Great Crested Flycatcher, Red-headed and Pileated Woodpeckers, Gopher Tortoises, White-tailed Deer, Raccoons, and Alligators. In the warmer months of spring and summer, one can spot Swallow-tailed Kites elegantly gliding in the sky.
