- Teds Beach Campground - Passing steep mountains and expansive views of Lake Pedder, the tour arrives at Teds Beach. Here, participants can enjoy a lakeside walk, enriched by David’s expert knowledge of botany, geology, and aquatic systems. A barefoot dip in the lake is also an option. Lunch and relaxation await at Lake Pedder’s white quartzite Teds Beach.
- Lake Pedder Lookout - A short drive leads to a lookout offering a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the lake and the rugged, glaciated mountain ranges of the southwest. It’s a perfect spot to pause and appreciate the scenery.
- Gordon Dam - Another brief drive brings the group to the 140m high Gordon Dam. Here, participants can take photos and marvel at the gorge 35 stories below. The experience includes the steep Gordon Gorge, with untouched rainforest on one side and Lake Gordon, Australia’s largest water storage dam, on the other. David, the guide, will share insights from his time with Hydro Tasmania. The visit concludes with a climb of 185 stairs back to the road.
