Amazing Tour - Our tour to Port Arthur was the best tour we have experienced, Mark our driver made each passenger feel they were the only one on the tour, his knowledge of Tasmania, and historical facts was remarkable. When booking this tour we most certainly made the best decision. And would highly recommend Tassie Tours, not only to our friends, Face Book and your web site. Please give Mark our personal thanks. Great trip to Port Arthur - I booked this trip as I was travelling solo and thought it would be a great way to see Port Arthur. It was a great day trip! Our driver was called Mark and he made the trip that bit better. He was very welcoming and knowledgeable, not only about Tasmania and Port Arthur but he knew a lot about the country I was from and the countries the other guests were from too! Mark encouraged conversion throughout the drive which was nice, especially being a solo traveler, because of this, I got to know a few people and we went around the Port Arthur site together. Mark arrived well on time. Port Arthur itself was great to see and learn about the history. We also stopped at the remarkable caves, lavender farm and chocolate shop which was nice to see too. Great trip and would definitely recommend, especially if travelling solo. Please pass the comments on to Mark as he deserves to be acknowledged for keeping us all entertained and informed.

Great day exploring Port Arthur and surrounds.. - The tour to Port Arthur was enjoyable due to the landscapes travelled through and the helpful guide, Jodie. Port Arthur was a step back in time and interesting to imagine the lives of both the convicts and soldiers who resided here at the time. Options were provided to either visit nearby caves or spend additional time exploring Port Arthur, which is what we opted for. An amazing piece of history preserved.

This is a very special piece of history and the site shows just how awful we were in those days. - The highlight of our journey was the experience of exploring Port Arthur on a beautiful day. It’s a big site and the harbour cruise allowed us to appreciate the scale of this vast experiment on criminals shipped from the UK. Our driver, Steve, was great and included other visits although perhaps the chocolate factory one could have been left out as we then visited the main facility just ten minutes down the road.
