Scenery, history and great "Dad" jokes - This tour was perfect for our short stay in Hobart as it covered a few different stops as well as a good amount of time to explore Port Arthur. The bus arrived on time to pick us up and from the start we knew it would be a good day as Colin, our driver and guide was so welcoming! His knowledge was amazing and we learn quite a bit that we weren't aware of. I thought the day was good value and the process for admittance at Port Arthur was quick and easy. We had a great day and really appreciated that everything was so well organised, there was no stress and we could sit back and relax.

An Excellent Way to Visit Port Arthur and Isle of the Dead - I don't take many guided tours, but it's not easy to get to Port Arthur via public transportation, so I invested in this one and have no absolutely no regrets. Allan was an excellent tour guide, with a vast repertoire of fascinating stories about the local area, particularly some of the fascinating convicts who served time in Port Arthur. He's also a highly skilled driver, which is essential. Another Gray Line tour is similar to "Grand Port Arthur," but without the tour of Isle of the Dead. I highly recommend spending a little bit more for the additional tour. The receptionist inside the Brooke Street Pier was very helpful.

Remarkable day - Absolutely worth time and money. Our driver Allan was fun and full of knowledge. The trip to remarkable cave was awesome and the chocolate foundry visit was a highlight.

Nice experience in Port Arthur - The very nice views, the very interesting place, we were 10 mins in Richmond, I would have liked to be longer, the whole tour was in English I had hired him because I thought there was going to be some audio in Spanish or something written as it said in the tour announcement but it wasn't.

Packed too much into short amount of time - I would have been happy with seeing Port Arthur and Isle of the dead, but this tour offered so much more. So I booked with great enthusiasm. However, I think the organizers were over ambitious in the planning. There was too much packed into a short amount of time. So everything was rushed. It didn’t help that some people arrived 25 minutes late for the start of the tour and the driver had to wait for them. He did his best to make up the time by skipping one stop. And to be honest, I didn’t even miss it. As stated on the itinerary, all of the stops (except for Port Arthur) were 15 minutes long. And while it fit the schedule, it felt rushed and would have been more enjoyable if they were a little longer. The biggest disappointment was when we arrived at Port Arthur. We had 55 minutes to see the entire site, before the scheduled Harbor Tour and Isle of the Dead Tour. We literally rushed to the buildings we were most interested in skipping the rest and ate our homemade sandwiches as we walked. The harbor tour was okay, but we really enjoyed the Isle of the Dead tour and thought the guide was knowledgeable and engaging. After the harbor tour we returned to Port Arthur site to see a little more, but it was again rushed, as we then needed to board the bus to drive to the Remarkable Cave, then go back to pick up the people who didn’t go to the cave and then to the chocolate store, (which was okay, but not great). The driver/guide was knowledgeable and provided interesting information about sites and he did a good job of keeping us on the very tight schedule.

Ok tour - Highly recommend the Isle of the dead, great insight into the history. Overall great place to visit once. A few of the stops on the way was so short not really worth the stop and our bus had AC issues which made part of the trip very uncomfortable. I dont care for thr way they pickup. There was no option for the pickup location and always being the last stop we never got a good seat. Always at the back often not sitting together.

The driver is... - The driver is knowledgeable and friendly. However we have to change bus due to mechanical problem, which caused delays. I guess it is the operator’s responsibility to make sure the bus roadworthy. It should not be taken granted as something beyond control.
