Tour at Bonorong, support the cause. - Shaun, our driver/guide was really helpful and respectful.
I found out that Richmond has quite a history and learned a lot about Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, they are doing great!

Half a day trip - but... - Half a day trip - but well worth the time spent. Specially, if you're animal and nature lover.
Also, the historical Richmond visit is an added bonus.

Day in Hobart - Richmond is a very nice, small town. We found nice souvenirs in the gift shop at the Goal (old jail) without actually going through the jail. Small area across street has nice coffee shop, wine shop, etc. The wildlife sanctuary is nice, only issue was too crowded on our tour do to cruise ship and holiday.

Great experience - The sanctuary is doing a really good job, taking care and rehabilitating the critters. Seeing Roos, wombats and Tasmanian devils there is a great experience since more than likely, not able to see in the wild.
Would have liked a little more time than one hour, however.

Exciting wildlife encounter - A delightful trip from the port to Richmond, and then the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Learned so many amazing details about wombats, echidnas, and of course, Tasmania Devils.

Spend an afternoon outside of Hobart city and experience some of the local wildlife and historical culture. - Afternoon trip was good, but would have been better with a little more time at both Richmond and Bonorong. Richmond is a pretty little place with some interesting souvenir shops, a great pub plus of course the prison. Unfortunately, the wombats didn't make an appearance the day we visited, but the Tassie Devils and the Kangas were great to see. Alan who was our driver that afternoon was excellent with lots of interesting information to share.

Excursion to Richmond and Bonorong - The van taking us from Hobart to Richmond and Bonorong was not very spacious, we had little comfort in the seats and the driver was not being very cautious.
When we got to Richmond, were access to the gaol comes with a fee, we also did get a coupon that would reduce the entrance price but nodbody explained this, so we paid the full price.
The Bonorong visit was great!
