Hobart - Sailors will see the beautiful city of Hobart, its historic docks and surrounding mountains and forests from the large sheltered harbour. Sometimes there will be other yachts racing on the harbour and sometimes we will be visited by curious dolphins and seals. Very occasionally we will see whales and orca.
Sailors will experience what it is really like sailing aboard a large ocean-going yacht, and they can take turns on the winches or even try their hand at the wheel if they like. - Mount Wellington - See Mt. Wellington and the surrounding forests and hills.

Get ready to embark on an authentic sailing adventure aboard a Sydney to Hobart race maxi in one of the world’s most striking harbours. Your three-hour journey will cover much of Hobart’s expansive protected harbour. Witness Hobart in all its glory, with breathtaking views of the city, Mt. Wellington, and the scenic forests and hills that form this quaint city. Keep an eye out for frequent visitors like penguins, dolphins and seals, and occasional sightings of whales and orca. You can partake in grinding the winches, steer the helm or simply sit back and soak up the ambience. Savor local delicacies served for either morning or afternoon tea - included in your fee. Additionally, local beers and wines could be purchased at standard bar rates. The seasoned skipper and crew are not just knowledgeable about the local area but also have incredible anecdotes from their experiences on the high seas.

King's Pier Marina is right across the road from Mure's Seafood Restaurant. Helsal IV and Magic Miles are the last two boats on the far left of the marina. Meet us there about 10 minutes before sailing (the map doesn't show the marina but satellite photos do).

Epic experience. - Baz and his crew, Christina and Grant, assisted by good weather and winds, provided us with a fabulous sailing experience. My wife needed assistance getting on and off the boat and they willingly provided it. I was able to get a “shot of a lifetime” photo of me helming a Sydney to Hobart yacht. The complimentary scones and cheese and biscuits were an added bonus. Baz showed us where we crossed the finish line of the Sydney to Hobart and all future finishes will have a special meaning as a result. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Amazing sailing experience - I would highly recommend the afternoon sailing trip to anyone looking for a fun but relaxing activity. Mark did an amazing job of making it a memorable experience. He showed us different landmarks around Hobart and even let us steer the boat. Christina and Ruby, his crew, did a great job as well. The snacks were delicious and it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. It was a small group so felt intimate and was a great value for the money. Perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Erin - This has been one of my top experience of Tasmania, not just being on my first time on a sail boat, but the crew were relaxed, funny and give out historical knowledge as well as local knowledge from mark our captain...growning up in the oceans of Tasmania. We had a great group of people that were in our tour that made the experience feel like a day on the water with friends. Definitely would recommend.

An Afternoon well spent - An absolutely beautiful afternoon spent with Mark and crew, we would highly recommend this experience when in Hobart. From start to finish Mark was very accomodating and informative over the course of the afternoon. We want to do an overnight experience now !!!

Great sailing experience. - We very much enjoyed the sailing trip and highly recommend it to anyone that likes sailing. The captain and crew were friendly and helpful and overall did a great job.
For the best experience, we suggest that passengers get up onto the deck and participate in the steering, etc and not stay in the center seating area which has limited viewing.

See above - Fabulous trip around the Derwent River with a very experienced and knowledgeable skipper. We even had a chance to steer the boat…..really good value for money for the 3 hour trip

A wonderful experience - Mark was a fantastic host! He opened up an afternoon slot to accommodate our schedule and showed us an amazing time. Very knowledgeable about Tasmania and full of stories to share along with delicious scones and cheese.

Fun 3 hrs - Fantastic experience one we will treasure forever true professionals and so much knowledge nothing was a problem scons on the way out with bubbles and cheese and bickies with bubbles on the way back 3 hrs of total fun highly recommend this tour with Bazz and his crew well done

So much fun! - This was such a fun afternoon, loved every minute! Spectacular views, I’ve never sailed before and it was really exciting! Super-friendly and skilled crew, really nice afternoon tea and cheese platter served, complimentary beverages and alcoholic ones to purchase. Highly recommended. I’m a local, and would go again!
