A Vegan Vietnamese Cooking Class That Actually Teaches You How to Remember the Sauces - I took a vegan Vietnamese cooking class in Ho Chi Minh City with Alice, and it was excellent. Alice is a genuinely strong teacher, especially in how she helps you remember things. When we made sauces, she used simple analogies and memory shortcuts to lock in the ingredient ratios, so it stuck in my head instead of vanishing the moment class ended. The class was vegan-friendly and felt intentional, not awkward. Alice showed how to get the right Vietnamese balance of salty, sour, sweet, and heat using plant-based ingredients, and the results still tasted recognizably Vietnamese. She also made the experience personal. She even gave me a Vietnamese name, Trí, which was a small moment but captured her vibe: attentive, encouraging, and engaged with her students. If you’re vegan (or just want a great class) and you actually want to learn techniques you’ll reuse at home, Alice’s class is an easy recommendation.

Clipping Herbs and Sauce Recipes :3 - I had a great time with our guide Alice! She was really kind and knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. I am usually more of a wanderer when I travel, and I don’t often book activities. I wasn’t sure how the cooking class would go, but I was glad that I decided to go! Everything was set up conveniently, and the food we made was good too! I would recommend if you have the time!

Well worth the time and money! - Due to (fortunate) circumstances beyond our control, my companion and I were the only two in Alice's cooking class. It was an unforgettably wonderful class--lots of detail, much encouragement, and tolerance of my less-than-perfect kitchen skills. I recommend it without reservation.

Between farm and kitchen: an unforgettable time in Ho Chi Minh with Alice. - Our experience in this place was really unique. We wanted to discover not only Vietnamese cuisine, but also local production methods, and the balance between the two was perfect. Alice had everything well organized (taxi + care) and she was adorable, pedagogue and always smiling. The adventure began with a tour of the farm around the building to pick up the ingredients we would need. Alice explained the benefits and possible disadvantages of each plant, as well as how to pick them. Then we went to the culinary workshop, where we prepared four recipes: fried shrimp, a Vietnamese salad, a chicken with cashew sauce with rice, then a dessert (fried bananas served with coconut ice cream). We really learned culinary techniques and we were thrilled — and of course we enjoyed it! In short, a great time in Ho Chi Minh!

Fabulous Farm to Table Cooking Class - Chef Linh was very nice, he picked me up with the driver and go to the farm together. It was around 1.5-2hrs drive. Depending on the traffic. We first went to the farm pick up the herbs and veggies we need to the class Chef Linh explained the use of each herbs and what the function of each. Then we went back to the room for cooking class. The taste of the dishes we cooked were good. And easy to prepare. I highly recommend this activity when u come to Ho Chi Minh City.

Great experience that we'd do again. - What an amazing day. We were picked up a few minutes early from our Saigon hotel. We arrived to a warm welcome at the cooking school. We spent 30 minutes outside in the garden picking fruits, vegetables and herbs for our meal. We made and appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert. We had expert instruction and prepared and cooked everything ourselves. The food was delicious and it was a marvelous experience.

Don’t miss out on this!!! - Fantastic experience. My father and I loved it. We went to pick up some veggies from outside and got a very good explanation of the different farming techniques. Then we had an excellent cooking class with Alice, who not only was super friendly and very insightful but also changed the menu to accommodate for no meat.

Please support them so they can grow more - I went for the half day farm tour and cooking class because I was searching for a halal option on tiktok and this place popped up. Texted in WhatsApp to check their availability and confirmed my reservation. They don't ask initiate asking on what expectations or what sort of dishes I was interested in learning I just decided to went along with it and kept an open mind. I think if you had any Vietnamese dish you'd want to learn if you asked then prior and choose from what's available in the list of menu they's me more and happy to accommodate to it. As a solo traveller I was pleasantly surprised that I was the only one taking the class that day which was amazing as I had a one on one experience with all the farm workers and Alice the tour guide she picked me up at my hotel early morning and the from then on I had quite the adventure on the car ride heading to the farm got into an accident but nothing major and kept the spirit of adventure alive. Alice was so bubbly respectful and I enjoyed talking to her as she kept me company the whole time and giving me instructions and a brief summary of all that it is to know about Vietnamese cuisine and the plants they grow in the farm They have a lot of potential to grow and they have been sustaining the farm and the cooking class for quite a while already. And I think they really need alot of patronage from more visitors to improve and further develop and maintain their facilities and quality of their services. Overall I left the farm and completed the cooking class feeling peaceful and inspired after experiencing a different side of Vietnam and getting to make and taste their cuisine was just thrilling.
