Highlights
  • Cu Chi Tunnels - The Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive subterranean network spanning over 250 kilometers, stand as one of the most iconic and historically significant elements of the Vietnam War. Initially constructed in 1948 to aid the Viet Minh in their struggle against the French for sovereignty, the tunnel complex expanded over the subsequent 25 years into a sprawling underground metropolis complete with living quarters, cooking facilities, storage areas, munitions factories, medical facilities, and command posts. The tunnels were capable of accommodating thousands of inhabitants who spent years living predominantly beneath the earth’s surface, conducting everyday activities such as weddings and child-rearing. During the conflict with America, the Cu Chi region was declared a free fire zone, leading to intense bombardment and shelling. In 1988, two portions of the tunnel system were made accessible to the public. Visitors today can seize the opportunity to explore this remarkable and enlightening attraction.

Outstanding experience - would recommend! - Mr Bau was an outstanding tour guide, his passion & extensive knowledge of the background of Chu Chi was top drawer. This tour taught us so much about the tunnels as well allowing us to immerse ourselves in history of it all. In our tour it was only us on it which meant we were able to get more information from Mr Bau & were able to ask more questions then the bigger groups we saw. A super experience, a must do.

Our guide was SUPER knowledgeable and gave us a history less enroute to the tunnels which was needed in my case, as I admit I don't know much about the Vietnam war. The tunnels are very cool, and we made a stop at a factory that employs disabled people and were able to buy some souvenirs. The van was cool and air conditioned. Everything was great and as expected!</p>

Good experience - My Husband enjoyed the tour and to get to experience a little of what the Vietnam war did to the country. The guide was knowledgeable and was picked up on time. I to also believe that it was over priced but heck my husband enjoyed it

Very disappointing... - The tour is very overpriced for what it offers. The pick-up was on time and the van was comfortable. The agency is easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Our guide, however, was unenthusiastic and very brief with his information. Other tour guides seem to explain a lot more and a lot better. What was most disappointing and unacceptable was we were not informed that there was an option to do a 150m tunnel crawl. Our guide told us only about the 20m and 40m crawls. We learned about what we missed only on our return from other tourists with SERIOUS DISAPPOINTMENT. The on ground staff is very attentive and it is them who do the crawl with you and not your guide, they are also there throughout to show you around and explain things which makes one question the need for a guided tour at all. All you really need is a driver and van. The entry fee is barely 15% of the tour cost making this expense seem unnecessary given we were a group of 7. We did the AK47 shooting at our own expense which was a unique experience. This tour is priced above average and hence one expects high quality standards which it does not deliver.
