Excellent trip - I made a schedule to go through Ho Chi Minh, so I applied for Can Gio Island Chueo with time left. Thank you very much for the advice on the pick-up time of the page who consulted. And the tour itself was conducted by a person named Lily, who explained many things well, and the tour itself was satisfactory. When you go to see monkeys, you must! Please be careful with your belongings! Highly recommended

Excellent natural tour ,great tour guide - This tour is highly recommended. Our guide, Terry, was very friendly. He bought snacks for the monkeys and placed them in our hands, encouraging the monkeys to come closer so we could take some great pictures. I personally love monkeys, and being so close to them was an amazing experience.

Overall Great Experience - Just Wanted to Be on the Boat a Little Longer... - The tour was great. The lunch was fantastic. The tour guide was awesome. The monkeys were also very well behaved. I don't think the explanation is exactly right though concerning the boat. The explanation on Trip Advisor says, non motorized and it was a motorized boat so the time on the water went really fast and I wished that could have been a bit longer. Besides that great trip. You are in good hands.
What it says online concerning boat:
"Continue in a small, non-motorized rowing boat that’s ideal for navigating the Delta’s winding canals, where you’ll get a glimpse of the traditional houses that cluster at the edge of the water."

Encounters in the Wild - The whole tour was very interesting and well organised. I particularly enjoyed encounters with the cheeky monkeys and the mangrove forest itself. The Vietnam War commando camp was also very interesting.

To feed or not to feed? - I feel so conflicted in writing this review. Even with the monkey bite, which snowballed into panic over possibly contracting rabies, and five subsequent hospital visits for the Rabovax, it was a great day out away from the heat and chaos of Saigon. I don’t believe we should have been encouraged to feed the monkeys - they were not cautious of humans and some were even aggressive in their attempts to steal a banana. The forest, the war history displays, the stories and the lunch were phenomenal. The guide was lovely. I just think the park officials and the tour guides need to come to a consensus - to feed or not to feed (the monkeys)? That is the question!

Enjoyable in parts but not as described - We were told to wait in the hotel lobby at 6.45 am ready for collection between 7 and 7.15 am. No one came and we were not contacted. I made several calls to international numbers but got either unobtainable or a recorded message saying the line wasn't in operation. We were finally collected at 8.15 am.
Monkey Island and the army base were very interesting and enjoyable. I would not advise anyone with poor eyesight without glasses to go as you can't wear glasses as the monkeys steal them.
It stated on the tour description that the boat fee was included (it wasn't) and we were charged 115 vietnamese dong each (approx £7.50 for both of us) for a 5 minute trip.
The lunch was good but the resort by the beach where we ate lunch was shabby. The beach had a lot of rubbish, the sea looked very polluted and you wouldn't want to sit there. They advertise swimming in a pool but this was for an additional charge and there was little time to swim by the time lunch was over.
We were dropped back in Ho Chi Minh at 4.15 pm so this was an 8 hour trip rather than 10 hours as advertised.
The tour guide (who called himself Kevin) told us at the end of the tour that a minimum tip of at least 50,000 Vietnamese dong per person was expected. We did tours with other companies and were not told this. We did tip the guides from other companies as they collected us on time and didn't ask for a tip.
I have complained to Viator about the boat fee, the tour length and the fact that we were left waiting for 1.5 hours to be picked up but so far, I have not had a response other than that they are looking into it.

Good to go with a local company and not an international one - I didn’t like the fact that no one got in touch with me regarding the tour. I reported at the pickup place at 7 but had to call a US number to know why nobody is picking me up or calling me till 7:40 I had to pay for the international call, the local number given on my ticket wasn’t in service. Then the tour guide texted me n finally picked us up at 8am, till then I was anxious without communication
Our tour guide wasn’t much of a help in explaining things in English, may be he was good in Vietnamese

Avoid - scam - Complete scam. We paid a lot of money for a small (guaranteed fewer than 15) guided trip through the Delta including rowing boats, collection and drop off from hotel etc. Communication was poor before the trip. The pick up time was ambiguous and checking the day before just gave us a third different answer. We were picked up and bundled into a taxi by a lady who didn't speak English and was unable to tell us where we were going. We didn't travel far by taxi before joining a big group. 25 people in one bus + another smaller bus was also with us. The itinerary bore no relation to what we had booked and paid and was actually advertised at 300k Dong rather than the more than 1,000,000 Dong that we had paid. We didn't see the delta, spent just 5 mins on a boat and no rowing as booked at all. On the way back the bus declared they didn't want to drop us back to our hotel - as booked & paid - rather we were 'kicked out' somewhere completely different to find our own way back. All super disappointing.
