Live like a local - We had a fun evening with our guide Naru who took us to a number of interesting and quirky stores as well as four food locations where we enjoyed having local food and local beer and sake to get a real taste of Hiroshima and get to meet and chat with the proprietors of those restaurants who usually prepared the meals in front of us. We also got a sense of life in Hiroshima today , which we really appreciated.

Delicious fun exploring foods of Hiroshima with knowledgeable local guides - We had a wonderful, delicious tour of Hiroshima food stops with guides Miyako and Masako from this company. We learned about many aspects of what we were eating and drinking, and their choices of stops were well-planned and creative. We did not know you could buy both momiji manjyu cakes and real oysters from vending machines, for example! The choice of the Okonomiyaki restaurant could not have been better - so very delicious and an incredibly friendly and warm family cooking for us - it was absolutely delightful. Our whole evening was wonderful and lots of fun. We highly recommend this company.

Wonderful evening, amazing guide! - What a fantastic evening in the company of our sparkling and super-friendly guide, Miyuki! I think the highlight was the Okonomimura, in a tiny and very lively upstairs bar - but it was also lots of fun to do a Sake tasting, visit a small brewery, and some souvenir snack shopping in one of the longest-established food stores of Hiroshima. Aside from the food and drinks though, what really made the evening was our wonderful guide - thanks so much Miyuki, you really brought Hiroshima to life for us!

Wonderful experience - All of us had a great time chatting and visiting several interesting places. I liked the Iyokan(citrus)tonic(a soft drink) very much. The taste was good and the story how it was grown and made was fascinating. Thank you Arigatou Japan and the tour guides for the day!!

It was our first time in Hiroshima and it was great to be able to see some sights and get some history along side alot of lovely food . It was just my husband and I work Miyuki and she was so lovely - I would highly recommend .

Fun and (Ful)Filling - The Best of Hiroshima Food Tour was a fun and filling experience! Tetsuo's pride and excitement for his town's food and drinks were clear from the onset. This tour ended up being a private tour - at no extra cost to us - which made it even more personalized. That said, this being our second experience with Arigato, it would not have made a huge difference because Arigato's guides are always attuned to the current group they are leading. Thank you, Tetsuo, for a terrific experience.

An excellent introduction to Hiroshima - There were no group tours available so I emailed Arigato and they very quickly responded and organised a private tour for me. I Had a brilliant tour with Tetsuo-san, visiting some funky places (soy sauce popcorn and retro games anyone?!) as well as trying some more traditional snacks and drinks. Tetsuo-san was super knowledgeable, as well as very friendly and easy to talk to. The three hours flew by. I highly recommend this tour, everything about it was great, and I really appreciated the small tweaks for my pescatarian preference.

Fun, Yummy & Informative - We had an excellent tour with Ryoko (sorry if this is spelt incorrectly). She was a super-fabulous guide- lots of fun and full of information. And the food was extremely yummy. We ate at a lot of places that we probably wouldn't have ventured into by ourselves. We learnt a lot, ate a lot and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore parts of Hiroshima and eat away from the tourist haunts.

Wonderful evening!! - Hugh was our guide through the Hiroshima food tour. He was an informative and lovely gentleman! We had a wonderful night full of laughs and Fabulous food! The final desert was the specialty of the night! We would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see the side of Hiroshima we wouldn’t normally see just wandering around by ourselves.

Very disappointed - The advertisement of the tour made it look like we were be a small group but we were the only couple. The tour guide barely spoke English and had even forgotten to book the second stop restaurant. My spouse and I decided to cut it short at that point and simply stop everything. We lost a lot of money as this food tour was very expensive. Very disappointing to say the least….
