An unforgettable bike tour - a 12 out of 10! - Our guide Shi was great and took us on a journey back in time on wheels with many of his grandparents' stories. He told so figuratively (he knows 7 languages and gladly explained something in German to our youngest) that you could very well imagine the terrible state of the city and the people after the bombing 😪. Shi managed so well to convey the soul of the city and its message. You can feel the peace that is asked for here for the future of the world and you take so much inspiration with you.🕊 Our boys were also very impressed how within a very short time, with a lot of forgiveness and drive, a city came back to life. Looking forward, peacefully remembering, never forgetting, but truly forgiven! -these are the things we take with us. We thank our friend Shi for this unforgettable day

Great Alternative to a Ship Excursion - We set up this excursion on our own instead of doing an excursion from the cruise ship Celebrity Millennium. We were worried about getting there on time by taking the train, so we took a cab, which was so much easier and not that expensive for 4 adults. Because we ended up getting there early, It gave us the chance to go through the Peace Memorial Museum, which I highly recommend as a prelude to this tour. Our guide, Shen, led our group on e-bikes. He was easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the area. The bikes were very comfortable. There were plenty of stops, so there's no need to worry about this being a strenuous tour, it is not. Shen is very chatty and talks a lot, but he's also fun and personable. The tour is very personalized to Shen's family's experience after the atomic bomb. My husband and I liked the stories and really enjoyed this tour. We felt like It was a great value compared to what we would have had to spend for an excursion from the ship.

We love Shin! - Excellent and insightful tour, the bikes were e-bikes and so nice and so relaxing to get about on. The highlight was our guide Shin, who was incredibly personable and managed to bring light humour into what is a difficult topic, also bringing home a wonderful message of peace and friendship. He has a very personal connection to Hiroshima and the bombing, I don't think we could have asked for a better guide.

Kana was a great tour... - Kana was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and has a very good clear speaking voice. She answered all of my questions. She took us on a lovely bike ride along the river and throughout Hiroshima and each stop was memorable. The stories she shared at each stop helped portray not only the reality and truth of the disaster but also the hope that was fostered by the people of Hiroshima during rebuilding.

Hiroshima by E-bike: a powerful and unforgettable journey - This 3-hour e-bike tour of Hiroshima was hands down the most powerful and memorable experience of our trip to Japan. Riding through the city on comfortable electric bikes gave us the freedom to cover a lot of ground while truly connecting with Hiroshima’s past and present. Our guide, Mo-ei, was exceptional — not only knowledgeable and engaging, but also deeply personal in the way she shared Hiroshima’s story. What made it truly moving were the stories of her grandparents, survivors of the bombing, who are no longer with us. Through her words, their memories lived on — adding an emotional depth that made this tour unlike any other. We began at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, and from there we visited landmarks such as Hiroshima Castle, the serene Hiroshimagokoku Shrine, Central Park, and the Aioi Bridge, known as the target of the atomic bomb. Ground zero, however, was right above a hospital clinic, of which today is still one run by the same family of doctors. One of the most moving parts of the tour was hearing the story of the Hiroshima Red Cross Hospital, where the wounded were cared for in the aftermath, and how hope was rekindled just three days after the bombing when the Hiroshima Railway managed to get the trams running again. That story stayed with us... Fast forward to the present, the Motoyasu River path and Higashisenda Park gave us a chance to experience the peaceful beauty of modern Hiroshima. The tour’s highlights included the trees that miraculously survived the blast, the Eternal Flame, the Axis of Peace, and a deeply emotional stop at the memorial dedicated to Sadako Sasaki, the 14-year-old girl who died of leukemia from radiation exposure. This tour wasn’t just educational — it was soul-stirring. It helped us understand not only what was lost, but how the people of Hiroshima found strength, dignity, and hope in the face of unimaginable tragedy. If you do one thing in Hiroshima, make it this tour. It will stay with you long after the pedals stop turning.

Great city tour with Kana!!! - A very informative bike ride through Hiroshima. I had booked a tour in the morning and was the only participant. So I had a private tour of Hiroshima. My guide Kana was very warm and shared a lot of historical information about the individual stations. You get an e-bike and a helmet provided. The bike route is very pleasant to ride. I can only recommend the 3-hour tour. I really enjoyed it. I could ask questions and photos were taken during the tour.
