Daufuskie Island tour - The tour was amazing Capitan Pete knew his stuff and was an awesom guide and made it an extremely enjoyable experience. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something to do while in Hilton Head and will certainly be back.

Meeting people who live... - Meeting people who live on the island and learning how they subsisted.
Learning of the history of the island, then and now.
Bayard was a great guide, sharing his personal and historical knowledge of the island.

Why we waited so long - As many times that my and I have visited Hilton Head, we never did the tour. This time with another couple we decided to go. It was very informative, the history, told by tour guide Dorene, was very interseting. The boat ride each way is about one and a half hour. The tour is about one hour. This is a must do tour when visiting Hilton Head.

Captain Pete takes you to Daufuskie Island - Captain Pete was passionate and extremely knowledgeable about history and life in the Low Country. His experience on the water and his love of Daufuskie Island made the day memorable and extremely worthwhile. I live on the Island. I shared this experience with family visiting me. Daufuskie Island tour - Long boat ride with little to see. Island was ok, history was interesting.
Boat captain was crabby. If someone asked him a question, his answer would be I already told the group that information. Much easier to just answer the question than to make someone feel stupid. Read scripture in church, I’m not religious so I felt uncomfortable with his preaching jag and thought it was not part of the tour.

Disappointing - Our trip was canceled due to weather, but were told if we could hurry to the docks there was another trip over to Daufuskie and the captain would wait for us. We rushed out and made a mad dash to join this other tour and the boat left without us, wasting our time…I still have not seen a refund to date, hoping they’ll get it back to my credit card soon.
