No Blah Blah Blah, No Fantasy - Our tour guide Robinson was AMAZING. He made the tour very fun, plus we got to see the REAL side of the Dominican Republic, from the housing, to their marketplace, to where they make cocoa powder and cigars, it was all very eye-opening. Be mindful, this isn’t supposed to be a luxurious tour, so be prepared to spend a day among locals. DISCLAIMER: The tour lasts about 8 hours, a lot of time is taken up from picking people up in the morning, and driving from destination to destination. It’s absolutely still worth it!

Best Guides AWESOME experience - Franklin and Westin were the most AMAZING tour guides. Be sure to request them. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Our day started super early and in the pouring rain. To be honest , I almost canceled. I’m SO glad I didn’t. We weren’t expecting all the stops that came with this tour. Franklin is like a history book. I believe he knows everything about the island A-Z. Westin was VERY accommodating, making sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed.

Robinson and Wester made the day. - Robinson and Wester were our guide and driver for the day. They made the day fun and enjoyable, the best excursion we have had, and the best value for money since arriving in the Dominican Republic. They picked us up on time, and we picked up another family on the way. First stop was horse riding, where we obviously rode a horse each, and also the mango tree was dropping fresh ripe mangoes. These were delicious the freshest mango I've ever had. We moved on to the Basilica, which was impressive if you are into that sort of thing. The stained glass was great. From there, we proceeded to the market, but the rain started, and we rushed around . We were then taken to a restaurant in the mountains where we were given a fabulous lunch, much better than I had expected. On to a traditional house where we were shown how they process coffee beans and cacao. A full-on day culminating in a trip to a cigar factory where the cigars were a lot cheaper than a previous tour we had done, and then to Macau beach. Robinson and Wester made the day. A full 7-8 hours passed really quickly. I can not recommend this trip highly enough.

Great tour, Darwin our tour guide was awesome! - This tour is a perfect half day excursion into the DR. There was a great mix of cultural, historical, and site seeing. The cigar factory, chocolate coffee demo and Macao beach are the highlights. Darwin our tour guide was so fantastic and knowledgeable. Bring cash for the market, and different stops and wear appropriate clothes for horseback riding.

A great tour in DR - We were picked up in a hotel further than the other and taken on a tour where they gave us information then when the tour officially started. The tour guide was very informative with topical historical facts. We enjoyed every part of the tour!
