Most people know a theme park inspired by one famous mouse. But one dedicated to monkeys? At Monkeyland, a natural habitat located deep in the Dominican Republic’s jungle and home to squirrel monkeys. On this 5.5-hour guided tour where you’ll also explore the habitat’s on-site botanical garden, as well as a coffee and cacao plantation. Chat it up with local farmers, learn about their organic methods and taste tropical fruit just plucked from a tree. Hotel transport from Punta Cana and Bavaro is included.

Amazing half day activity - Loved the whole thing! Half day experience. Nothing bad to say! Was there with 12 yo and 8 yo. Highly recommend with kids but adults loved it too. Very well organized.

5 star must do excursion - We had an amazing experience.....our guide Youngboy and driver Rolando made it even more fun. Interacting with the monkeys was awesome and learning about coffee and cocoa was good fun and tasted great. Definitely would do it again.

Best time - Had a great time! Must do if you are in punta Cana. Gregory on our bus was great. PJ on the buggy tour was funny. Can't wait to come back.

Best excursion there is - My girlfriend and I went to see the monkeys on our last day in Punta cana and it was a great way to end the trip. Our guide, young boy, was the best we had in all of our excursions. He was funny and informative and very kind to all the different tourists and was very good with the kids that were there. The tour around the plantation was super interesting and the coffee was unreal best I’ve ever had. The monkeys were super adorable and we got so many fun photos with them. The tour is a must if you’re staying in Punta cana

Such a fun experience - This is worth the money. My kids LOVED it. The monkeys are adorable, the facility is clean, employees are friendly and the store was affordable! Would definitely recommend and go again.

Awesome tour with Amado & Gary! - Experienced Monkeyland and the Coffee/Cacao plantation with our tour guides Amado and Gary. Both tour guides were awesome, very nice and very informative as well as funny. We thoroughly enjoyed both plantation and monkeyland, who wouldn’t love having multiple squirrel monkeys climbing all over you?! There ended up being a huge storm towards the end of our excursion which caused a tree to fall in the middle of the road, thus we were literally stranded in a down pour in the middle of the jungle but Amado & Gary kept calm as well as our driver and after some time figured out an alternate route. I would 100000% return and ask for either guide as they kept us well informed & honestly very safe.

Be prepared to hike and climb steep hills and steps - Could have done without the coffee and cocoa presentation. But the interaction with the monkeys was amazing!
If you plan on going, MAKE SURE YOU CAN WALK UP STEEP STAIRS, AND UP AND DOWN STEEP INCLINES AND DECLINES.
Not for those with bad knees or back.

You get what you pay for with a lot extra. - Monkey island it self was a good experience, but that was only 20 minutes of the whole trip. The next 3 hours were driving to the excursion and back to the hotel, which it’s understandable. But there was about 2 hours of a sales pitch to buy products. Fine tell me your pitch but lord have mercy get on with it. It's hot and those that have small ones cant sit for 2 hours listening to something we had no intention to partake in. If i have to pay more to just go straight to the monkeys that would be great. No me compliques la vida.
