A beautiful experience! - We stayed at the Silk Sense Resort for 3 nights whilst travelling around Vietnam and decided to do the private Spring Roll making course with Thao in the beautiful organic garden. The course was incredibly reasonably priced and was exclusive so just myself and my partner attended.
We had such an amazing time with Thao who showed us around the garden and explained to us what all the amazing vegetables, herbs etc are and which they are growing. We also got to pick our own vegetables and herbs to include in the spring rolls. The garden is stunning and is a must see!
The spring roll making course was really fun and interesting (and don’t forget delicious!). The ingredients are all fresh from the garden and Thao was a brilliant teacher, making it very easy to follow with clear instructions. Thao was a real delight to be taught by and we are very grateful for her time (and patience!).
We will definitely be recommending for friends and family to visit the hotel, garden and to attend a spring roll making course with Thao. Thank you again Thao for all your help!

A wonderful less commercialized cooking class! - We had such a delightful time doing this cooking class. Our instructor Phoung was very pleasant, spoke fluent english and made the experience great. You take a tour of the garden and then cook 3 dishes and make a drink. It was the perfect amount of “easy” cooking while still feeling like you accomplished something. The food we made tasted superb. If you want a fantastic cooking class that’s less commercialized than many other offerings, I would go with this one. Thanks Phoung!

Highly recommended! - What a lovely experience! You start in the most beautiful and plentiful fruit, vegetable and herb garden picking the croos for your lunch. Then it's off to the kitchen making delicious food. Our teacher Thao was very sweet, knowledgable and skilled at explaning and showing us how to do everything.

BEST COOKING COURSE - Not to be missed!!! Thao welcomed us with the utmost sweetness and kindness. She toured the garden and taught us how to cook Vietnamese food. An experience not to be missed, you will not be disappointed. We loved it!!!!

Amazing cooking class - During my trip to Hoi An, I joined a cooking class at Caman Village and was thoroughly impressed! The lush organic garden allows you to handpick your own vegetables and herbs – a close-to-nature and enjoyable experience.
Our instructor was incredibly enthusiastic, guiding me through making authentic local dishes while sharing fascinating cultural stories. Besides cooking, I also participated in traditional folk games and crafted organic drinks – all fun and meaningful activities.
If you’re visiting Hoi An, don’t miss out on this amazing experience!

Vietnamese cooking class with Thao at Caman village. - Wow what am amazing experience. So much to learn about the fresh produce available in the garden and how to use it. The cooking was interactive and informative. Thaoh was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a unique experience and I highly recommend it to any visitor. Not to be missed.

Awesome cooking class with Thao - Such a fun cooking class in a gorgeous garden with Thao! Food was yummy. I could follow the recipes easily. We had spring rolls, pancakes, papaya salad and braised pork

Delicious dinner & drinks! - Our group of 4 friends had a cooking class hosted by Thao who is a great teacher. It started with a tour of the organic garden where she taught us about the local herbs and vegetables and flowers which we picked to make delicious drinks and dinner. It was a lovely day and an amazing dinner that we all helped to make. We all left feeling very full and very happy. Thank you Thao!

Caman Village Cooking Class with Thao - We visited the Caman Village cooking class in November 2024. Our host and cooking teacher was Thao and she was amazing. She was so knowledgable about all of the herbs in the garden and she was a great cook! We learnt so much about Vietnamese food and cooking. I would definitely recommend this class, it was a great experience.

Caman Village is a must visit! - We visited Caman Village twice during our stay in Hoi An - once to have a look around and once for the cooking class. Both times we were met by really friendly staff who went out of their way to share the garden with us and to make us comfortable offering us tea and shade and turning on fans to help us cool down. The cooking class with Thao was a highlight. She had so much knowledge and helped us to understand heaps about the garden and helped us to cook delicious tasting food, which also looked beautiful, using flowers fresh from the garden. I cannot rate the experience highly enough, it was just incredible. Everyone worked really hard to make such a wonderful and intimate cooking class experience and we could ask as many questions as the time allowed. You simply must go and check it out yourself. They also accommodated for my vegetarian diet and were very careful to check for food allergies. The garden is beautiful to cook and eat in and it is very quiet and peaceful tucked away from the hustle and bustle which I really appreciated.
