Additional Information

Who hasn’t glimpsed the universally renowned images of an emerald sea juxtaposed with striking white buildings/churches topped with Aegean blue roofs perched on precipitous cliffs? A splendid journey to one of the world’s most romantic islands, SANTORINI, is an exceptional choice if you’re staying on Crete. A rapid boat whisks you to Santorini in roughly 1h 45min and returns after the exploration. You’ll immerse in the Hellenic ambiance in the ancient capital Oia, contemporary capital Fira, and the obsidian sand beach. OIA: The earliest settlement on Santorini. Roam its narrow lanes and cobblestone paths laden with rich cultural and traditional elements. The juxtaposition of sea and sun hues, the breathtaking vista, embody the spirit of Greekness, conferring an unrivalled status upon Oia. FIRA: Explore Santorini’s capital where you’ll have ample time to meander in the charming, traditional petite lanes. (NOT IN 2023) Optional: PERIVOLOS: Pay a visit to the impressive Perivolos black beach. Swimming opportunity at Perivolos beach.

  • Santorini is a one of a life time experience. So keep in mind that on the island it can be very busy.
  • During the high season it’s possible that because of the traffic the visit to the black beach is not possible.

Nice tour to Santorini - Santorini is a very beautiful city, you have to see it at least once. Just don't forget that it is full of tourists. We were there at the end of October and it was still pretty full, even worse in summer. I would definitely recommend doing the tour outside of peak season. From an organizational point of view, everything went really well. We booked the "volcano tour" on the ferry. Be sure to bring your swimwear with you, otherwise this additional tour is not worth it.

Amazing tour, well explained and guided, friendly. I would definitely recommend - It was an amazing experience. Tanya was very helpful throughout the booking and making sure we have all the questions answered and providing us not only the best deals but good suggestions on food and places to go around. I will definitely recommend her for booking day trips.

A nice yet too thin slice of Santorini - A tightly organized, minimal bundle to discover a slice of the Greek island gem. The intense pleasure of setting foot and marvel at the surreal beauty of the islands sights is equally matched by the frustration to have to leave the island almost as if in the blink of en eye. Despite the super early departure, the travel time to the island from Crete and back amounts to a rough six hours total, which leaves little margin to approximations and idling. Every minute there will count, and it's a mindset that's required permanently to make the most of the visit, which can be a burden to some travelers. The two stops at the cities of Oia and Fira last a little less than 4h00 total.. so you have to pick your battles once you're there and know precisely what you want to do, besides taking as many pictures as possible... not much if left to contemplators. Points go to the efficient organization, with almost no gaps and a strict respect of schedule, as well as to our tour guide Patricia, who was very friendly and helpful – definitely key to the success of this day.

Worth a visit - There was no option to book pick up from our hotel on the booking site (although the location was stated as pick up available) but after emailing the company they confirmed that they will pick us up from the bus stop just outside of our hotel so we waited 30 min just to find out that they were waiting for us at the hotel. The rest of the trip went smoothly. I knew what to expect as I did that trip before so as we went of the ferry we went to the bus in Santorini and we did Oia and Fira where you have free time. if you wanna have a quick lunch instead of sit in meal that was recommended by our tour guide, we can recommend Luckys souvlaki that is just one street up and you can have amazing 1/3 priced souvlaki, pitas and salad freshly made :)

Interesting experience - Trouble with the booking as it was in the wrong name which created problems at the pickup and pre-boarding collection of tickets. The weather which made the sea trip much longer especially coming back! Staff were good throughout. Time on Santorini seemed short and passed to quickely. Interesting experience

Fair - Friendly staff and good experience overall but not much time to be around and about. Recommended if you’ve never been and don’t expect to spend a whole day there.

beautiful but tiring trip - A beautiful but tiring trip; of the 12 hours the trip lasts, 3 hours are spent in Fira and Oia, the rest is transport! The 2 cities are congested because many buses arrive at the same time; I don't know why we weren't taken to see the black sand beach? Thanks to the driver, Mr. Adonis, we felt permanently safe Thanks to the guide for the given information!

could be better - My opinion about the excursion is not the best... We spent too much time traveling and the times revealed in the experience did not correspond... It was preferable to forego the visit to Oia and just stay in Phira... We ended up buying a trip to the volcano, they changed buses and our belongings stayed on the other bus, so my swimming trunks were there too... it should be noted that with the trip to the volcano we only had an hour of travel time. visit to Phira who didn't even have time for lunch... We were scheduled to return to Heraklion at 4pm, when the volcano tour ended and the ferry arrived at 5pm, we spent an hour at the port waiting when we could have made the most of our time in Phira... In short, the useful visiting time is too short.

Worst tour ever. - This was worst tour ever. Ship from Crete to Santorini ran late so we got to Santorini late. Spent 1 hour to get to Oia by bus and only had 40 minutes there. Oia is the highlight of the island. Then back on bus to Fira for a very late lunch, only 1hour 10 minutes there then back on bus to the ship. So for an eleven our trip we spent less than 2 hours on Santorini. It should be marketed as a boat trip. A waste of a day and not inexpensive.
