Worth the money - Very well set out, information on the species was good as was the tank layouts etc. Came away feeling we should do more for our marine life and sad that some of the species were showing signs of repeated actions purely because what ever the size they are in tanks and are sea dwellers. Made me think deeply which is a good thing

Sea life and beach in a one-day outing - Cretaquarium is the place to go if you are on holiday with kids or just love sea creatures. The place itself is not very large, but the tanks are arranged smartly so it all appears to be huge. It mostly comprises tanks with some 3D room(s) upstairs and some interactive displays (which we would have loved more of). There is a central tank with rays, which are not the be touched, so parents must be on the watch. (In Budapest, you can actually touch these rays, so I don't think there is any real danger, but you don't want to be the odd one out). The centre is right at the beach, so when you're done, just go for a swim. Interestingly, my online map (Google) wouldn't show any means of transport there from Iraklio, but as it happens, there are lots of buses that will take you there from the central bus station for something like 1.5 Euros.

Great place to visit - It was such a great place. It was as fun for the adults as to a 10-year old. A lot to see there, loved the big aquariums with different type of fish and other sea creatures. Would 100% reccomend.

Rainy Day activity - Cute rainy day activity. Just enough for the kids to see and do. However it could be so much more! Still worth a trip if you want to pass an hour.

Nice and interesting aquarium - Nice aquarium with interesting sea creatures. Although it seemed like we've been there during peak hours (around 3pm), it still wasn't too crowded to enjoy the exhibits. It took us about an hour to finish the tour.

Mostly for children. - It is quite nice to see all those, mostly fishes, so close. I recommend visit for parents children as it is educating about them about see wildlife but also about environment. And it was quite busy there. If you come by public bus it is some 15 minutes walk from bus station to Cretaquarium.

Nice aquarium! - We visited Cretaquarium with our six-year-old son, who loves sea life. It is easy to find and has free parking. The entry price was reasonable (€12 for adults and €6 for children), and it appears to contribute to their conservation and research which is nice, so we were happy to pay it. It turned out to be a little smaller than we expected - we were done in an hour. But there were certainly some impressive tanks with a diverse range of sea life. There is plenty of information dotted around in multiple languages, and you can also pay a little extra for an audio guide if you like. I’d recommend this place for a nice trip with the kids if you’re staying locally.

11 km from Kretaquarium is Aqvaworld. Maybe it's better. - It's not sou exsites if you have seen aquarium in Lithuania 🇱🇹 but it's big enough. And views around the aquarium - empty, broken buildings as after armagedon :(
