Our rendezvous point is at Terrazza Park, located within the elite Lake Las Vegas community. Our expedition commences beside the Las Vegas Wash, a unique oasis amidst the desert backdrop of Vegas, boasting ever-flowing water, ponds, weirs and verdant flora year-round. After half a mile, we veer away from the central trail to follow a craggy path uphill, maintaining a pleasant, scenic pace.
Upon reaching the summit of the ridge, you’ll find your efforts amply rewarded with sweeping views of the Las Vegas valley! Don’t forget to bring your camera!
Paying us company on our journey will be my delightful pet, Annie! She’s an energetic dog who THRIVES on hikes! She’s eagerly waiting to make your acquaintance!
The trek is roughly a mile each way, with an elevation gain of about 500 feet in total. I will provide everyone with lights and have extra water on hand.
