Exceptional Guide and Tour! - Emek was a great tour guide of Helsinki! Emek has great insight to the architecture, the city history and key places to show us that we would not have found on our own. He is funny and good spirited and answered our many questions not only about architecture but also about city life and the interesting history of Helsinki with the many Russian, Swedish and German influences along the way. We had very bad weather on our actual tour date and we were able to postpone one day and avoid the cold rain. Emek was easy to correspond with and timely! We highly recommend a tour led by Emek!

wonderful viewtrip with Emek - Emek is an absolutely professional tour guide with broad and profound knowledge that greatly enriched our entire journey. The entire trip is very well designed, so we didn't feel tired at all, even though it's a three-hour journey in freezing winter conditions. If we were to explore on our own, Helsinki might have left us with the impression of a seemingly unremarkable city, lacking clear points of interest. However, Emek skillfully weaved together historical insights and architectural highlights, making the tour both informative and engaging. That’s very fascinating! And I truly enjoy his humor hahahahah! For anyone seeking a quick but comprehensive overview, this trip is definitely the best choice.

Do yourself a favour and book yourself on a tour - This tour was excellent. It was inspiring, interesting and covered architecture, planning and social issues. I would defiantly recommend it. I was travelling by myself and totally enjoyed the interaction with Emek and my group. We were able to have some great conversations about architecture and planning and construction methods too while walking the streets of Helsinki looking at some amazing buildings and urban spaces! Do yourself a favour and book yourself in for one of the tours. Emek is fabulous and very welcoming and informative.

Great overview if history with architecture - The tour was very informative and our guide was quite knowledgeable. He did a great job describing how politics, society and history influenced the architecture of Helsinki. We really gained an appreciation of the details, and the forward thinking city planning.

Helsinki - Architecture Haven - We are a group of 12 tourists who booked a private tour with Emek Ataman. It is the best decision we made to learn about Helsinki. Emek is knowledgeable, articulate and experienced guide. We have the most amazing 3-hours with him. For anyone visiting Helsinki, I would highly recommend booking a tour with Ataman Tours to get an excellent understanding of this city and country

Can't recommend highly enough - I took many tours in my three weeks in the UK, Scandinavia and Finland (and Estonia), this was BY FAR the best. Emek, the guide, was knowledgeable, well spoken, fun, funny and fantastic. If I'd taken this tour my first day, I would've organized other tours with him.

Everything a guided tour should be! - I have been traveling on a few continents over the past seven weeks, and I've taken many guided tours. This was by far the best. Emek is incredibly smart, well spoken and great at his job. Book this tour!

An insightful your. - One of the best tours that I have ever done. Emek blended important Finnish cultural elements and contemporary practices into his takes on the development of architectural styles over the years in the center of Helsinki. He also answered our probing questions with personal insights. After the tour, I felt I had a better appreciation of a nation that stressed sustainability and inclusiveness and its aesthetics reflected in its architecture. Highly recommend it.
