Set off on an adventure to a viewpoint overlooking the scenic Heber Valley! Imagine driving along forest road 309, enveloped by the splendor of nature, for about an hour of leisurely exploration. During the journey, you might spot wildlife, adding a thrilling element to your trip. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking view of Heber Valley, with the majestic Mount Timpanogos in the background.
While there are no restrooms along the route, taking the time to stop, explore on foot, and take photographs is highly encouraged. Temperatures can drop 10-15 degrees from the valley to the viewpoint. Heat is generally not a concern, but it can become chilly, especially in the evenings or suddenly if a storm approaches. It is highly recommended to schedule this trip 1.5 hours before sunset. Snow less than 1 foot deep typically does not hinder the journey.
