The excursion begins at the cruise terminal, where you’ll enjoy a comfortable bus or car ride to the charming fjord-side village of Nedstrand. During the one-hour journey, your guide will share fascinating stories about the history of Haugalandet.
Upon reaching Nedstrand, you’ll collect a light Norwegian lunch, known as “Matpakke,” from a local shop before embarking on the 2.2 km hike to Himakånå, which stands 357 meters above sea level. The trail is steep yet accessible, taking approximately an hour each way.
At the top, take in the breathtaking panoramic views and savor your “Matpakke.” Himakånå is renowned as one of Norway’s top “selfie spots.” Afterward, you’ll make your way back down to Nedstrand.
