Hatunmachay is an astounding rock forest nestled in the outer mountain range of the Huaraz region. Specifically situated in the Recuay province within the Peruvian Ancash state, it stands at an altitude of 4200masl, stretching over approximately 200 km2. Access to this remarkable site is through Huaraz, via the Lima southwards Huaraz highway.
