Temple of Literature & National University - (Optional)
Temple of Literature & National University is originally built as a university in 1070 dedicated to Confucius, scholars and sages, the building is extremely well preserved and is a superb example of traditional-style Vietnamese architecture. Visiting the Temple of Literature you will discover historic buildings from the Ly and Tran dynasties in a revered place that has seen thousands of doctors’ graduate in what has now become a memorial to education and literature. -
Hoa Lo Prison - (Optional)
Hoa Lo Prison ironically nicknamed the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ by US prisoners of war (POWs) during the American War. Most exhibits relate to the prison’s use up to the mid-1950s, focusing on the Vietnamese struggle for independence from France. -
Ancient House - (Optional)
Then, we head to Ancient House. Situated at a tranquil street near Silver Street, Ancient House appeals plenty of tourists by its ancient but sophisticated charm of a Vietnamese traditional house. -
Lake of the Restored Sword (Hoan Kiem Lake) - (Optional)
The final destination of the tour will stop by Hoan Kiem Lake, considered the heart of Hanoi. You can observe many locals interesting activities such as playing badminton, doing exercises

Absolutely recommended! - We had a great experience being guided by Hazel & Ben. Pick up from hotel was right on time and we made a plan together on what to visit. They’re both very knowledgeable and very friendly. If we would have stayed longer in Hanoi, we definitely would have had a second meet up with them. Big thank you, seeing the city through the eyes of a local is something you cannot miss out on!

Fantastic local tour opportunity - It was a fantastic experience to meet locals like Khanh and Hanh who provided cultural, historical understanding also tour local food, historical sites and options for shopping. We often travel and do not depend on tours but would highly recommend this tour option ! Thank you to Khanh and Hanh for a wonderful once in a lifetime opportunity.

Great personal tour - Had a great wander around Hanoi with Son. Went to the prison the women’s museum and visited a temple. I have been to many temples but it was actually really interesting to see the locals praying which l have never seen before. Did a half day but can do all day if you want and visit places you would like to see. Great to have a local navigate the roads with you and talk about their life here.

Fun and great experience - My guide, Mi, was exceptional and very accommodating. We arrived early to view the train and she suggested an alternative activity to make up time. She was fun to be with and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Exceptional tour; wonderful guide - An exceptionally good tour. My guide was Anne and she was totally committed to providing me with a perfect introduction to Hanoi. She took me to many sites of interest and gave me a great amount of information on each one and of the history of the city and recent developments. I can't praise her enough. I asked her to take me to a good local restaurant for lunch and I enjoyed fabulous food. I'm so grateful to have had this experience with her.

Lovely tour - The tour was amazing. Ngoc wrote to me the day before the tour to ask me where I wanted to go. Next morning, she was waiting for me before schedule at the door of my hotel and she took me to the places we have decided on beforehand. She is really nice, had a lot of interesting information for me and I spent a great morning with her!

Adorable guides and a lovely time!! - Definitely recommend! We went at our own pace and chose our own destinations as per the options. We booked very late at night but they arranged a guide for us instantly the next day after comfirmation. Our guides Cherry and Kien were so adorable 😍. We had a lot of fun walking around with both of them ans listening to the stories and interesting facts. I was surprised when I found out the age of 1 of our guides as 13 yo, but glad to know they are always accompanied by a senior and adult guide or their parents as they learn the ropes. Both of them told us many interesting facts about the locations and walked around with us the whole time.
