With approximately 956 traditional houses, Duong Lam village retains the essential characteristics of a traditional Vietnamese village, including a port village, old tall trees, a large courtyard, ancient temples, wells, water fields, and fishbone-shaped roads. Among the many preserved features in Duong Lam ancient village, the most remarkable is the old village gate in Mong Phu village.
Additionally, visitors to Duong Lam village can explore a 300-year-old house.
Afterward, a special Vietnamese lunch prepared by the host will be served. While at the house, guests can also assist local people in making local specialties such as rice cake filled with brown onion and soft green-lentil cake, and then enjoy these dishes (depending on the season).
- Van Phuc Silk Village - Following this, the tour continues with a visit to Mia Pagoda, built in the 15th century, where guests can admire 287 statues of various sizes before returning to their hotel in Hanoi.
On the way back, depending on the schedule, there is an opportunity to stop at Van Phuc silk village, once the cradle of the finest silk in Vietnam, where visitors can learn about the silk-making process and shop for exquisite silk products in Van Phuc village.
