Join us on this thrilling fully inclusive half day safari tour from Johannesburg. The tour departs Johannesburg daily and includes a thrilling 3 hour open air game drive through the spectacular Dinokeng game reserve situated a mere 1:30 hours drive from Johannesburg. The total tour duration is 7 hours from pick up to drop off. The reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife from zebra, giraffe, rhino, lion and a host of other indigenous fauna and flora species. You will be accompanied on the game drive by the head ranger who will expand on his knowledge of the various species of wildlife encountered in the safari.

First time to South Africa - The highlight of the trip was saying three giraffes up close, a coalition of cheetahs, and of course the lion.

Fantastic experience - Fantastic day! Our driver "Ben" was great and very helpful. Did not have time to see all the animals, but it was so exciting to see most of them.

Short safari experience - Ben at Soul Adventure Tours was great, arrived on time, very knowledgeable and a friendly guy. The private game reserve had some of its animals poached but it was still a great experience and well worth doing.

Good experience for limited time! - I only had one afternoon to explore and this was the perfect tour for the limited time that I had. Ben, the guide, was great, punctual and responsive. He took me to the Mongena Game Lodge where I had a fantastic time. Staff there were really nice and incredibly knowledgeable and took great care of me. Even though I only saw 2 out of the big 5, I still saw quite a lot of animals up close and that didn’t take anything away from the experience. The drinks and snacks were a plus. I’d recommend it to anyone that don’t have that many days in SA.

Excellent half day safari - Wonderful Safari if you are short on time. Our driver “Rasta” was excellent and fun. The safari was fantastic in that we were able to see most of the largest animals including hippo and rhino in about 3 hours. We were also taken to an amazing restaurant (not included in ticket price) after for an incredible lunch just minutes away at a house ranch. Highly recommend!

Amazing tour to horseback safari! - Just returned from a trip to Johannesburg. We were recommended by a friend to do the horseback safari, walk with lions. The tour arranged everything from hotel pick up to the full safari, lunch and drop off. Couldn’t do enough for you. Loved it and I’ll definitely be booking again for another trip! Thank you x

Great experience - Had an amazing experience seeing the lions from cubs to the adult ones. One of the rare safaris where we were able to walk and stroll around with the 9 month lions. At that age they're already pretty big. Had the opportunity to carry and nourish the cubs. Our driver Rasta was absolutely punctual and professional. I could say the same thing for the rest of the staff. Highly recommended.

Thank you but would not take this tour again - I was disappointed because in the place we went for Safari the lions were behind a fence and it felt like you’re in a zoo. You don’t know in advance which park they’re taking you to. In my case it was the private park African Hills Safari lodge and spa. Based on the pictures by the operator I didn’t expect the lions to be behind a fence.
Other animals were not behind the fence.

Disappointing experience - This looked like a nice reserve, nice lodge and grounds. Our game driver was very pleasant, knowledgeable and was good, but we didn't see any large animals.
Not our first game drive and fully understand they move about, but for what they charge and the radio communications they have, they should really try to find some of the bigger animals. Their brochures tout the big five and most places really try to get siting's of a few of them.
