Beautiful caves...feels rushed - Beautiful caves, interesting history but tours are pretty dense in certain areas and you wait for other tours to finish (one way in, one way out). Great experience but be prepared to be clustered.

Chaos and Beauty - We were greeted at the designated meeting place by our driver/guide. We had a group of 8 people from our cruise ship in a mini bus that seated 20, so no problems with seating. Our group had 3 stops on our itinerary: the Bermuda aquarium, the Ocean Discovery Center and the Crystal Caves. Six of the eight were going to the Ocean Center and the caves. The other 2 were going to the aquarium and the caves. The driver seemed to have the logistics in order. After about 45 minutes, the mini bus started to smoke, so we pulled over and exited the bus. A replacement bus and driver were called. After waiting about 10 minutes, the replacement arrived. We arrived at the Ocean Center, but the driver had no clue about tickets (we prepaid] or the visit to the aquarium. We all got off the bus and entered the center. The very nice lady at the center and made a call and arranged for all of us to visit the center even though we didn’t have tickets. The 2 who were supposed to go to the aquarium agreed to skip that and just visit the Ocean Center, which was excellent. By this time, the original driver returned and paid for the tickets. We then travelled to the caves which were awesome. Nice venues but terrible logistics. Total time about 4 1/2 hours.

Caves were great but overall experience rushed - The Crystal Caves were amazing and our guide from the Caves was very informative. The ride was a bit messed up. The driver brought us to the Caves first, thinking it would be better for us, but our group had a reserved time that was at 3:45 and we arrived at 2:30. That meant we had to leave and go the Aquarium and only had 15 minutes there and then go back to the Caves. The Aquarium was very small and I would have been fine to skip that all together and would rather have been able to explore both the Caves instead. Next time I would look for a tour that did that.

Bermuda Explorer Tours cancelled our paid excursion - The tour operator cancelled our excursion two hours before we were to depart. We were very disappointed. They did offer to postpone it to the next day, but we were departing Bermuda that day. My credit card was fully refunded in a timely manner.

Overpriced and NO AIR CONDITIONING in tour van - Price was OUTRAGEOUS for our experience. We paid $159 pp for this tour. I printed the ticket before we left for our trip to Bermuda but the ticket had no place specified to pick us up. We didn't have internet on Bermuda so it was really a challenge to find our tour guide. The excursion said an Air-conditioned vehicle was included but we were picked up in an old van with the windows down. When we asked if we could have the AC put on, the van overheated. The guide didn't seem to know a lot about Bermuda. I had taken a tour the day before and learned a ton but this tour guide didn't convey much information. For the price, this tour was really a bust.

Save money taking public transportation - Dean texted me at 11:45 the night before our excursion asking if we could move our time from 1 p.m. to an earlier time. I saw the text at 7:37 a.m. and asked what time would be good. He replied at 9:23 a.m. asking could we meet at 10. We agreed, met up and proceeded with the outing. At first Dean was friendly and engaging, then went quiet. He took us to the aquarium, then picked us up at noon and drove to the Crystal Cave. He asked if we wanted to be dropped off back at the dock or in Hamilton. We said Hamilton and he returned $30 cab fare and left. It felt like Dean had better things to do besides deal with us. We got everything advertised, but in hindsight, we would have been better off financially taking public transportation or a cab to the aquarium and Crystal Cave. The attractions are worth visiting, but there are ample ways to get around the island cheaper. Our cab driver taking us from the Crystal Cave to Hamilton was very friendly and informative. The ferrys are a pretty cool way to get around the country and cost $4.50 per token.

Shady !! Beware of this excursion! - I loved the Crystal Cave and the Aquarium but I had to give it a poor rating because it was so shady. I got a text from a guy, saying meet at 12, at a random location and there is a white van.. suspect. I wrote back that our trip was planned at 1 so why the change in time, he said because of the caves. We went and there was a white van, no check in sheet, just get on the van , the van which was supposed to be air conditioned was not , it was 80 degrees with 12 people in the van. The guide never introduced himself, he just drive us to the aquarium and dropped us off, we had to ask if he was coming back or what was happening. He then picked us up and drive us to the caves and again we had to ask. He never talked or said anything. We drove 1.5 hours each way and we’re not told how far, in an van with no air conditioning, we picked up people from another resort that was out of the way. The attractions were great but this was a shady tour!! Beware , if you have time book the caves they are awesome!

Do your research - In Bermuda. First it was raining and the van was parked at our agreed upon location. The driver was eating lunch but we and other passengers had to knock on the door to ask if it was him. The van was unmarked. He allowed us to come in out of.the rain but on the drive he was just a driver and was silent the whole 1 hour drive (both ways) so dont expect any info about the island. The roads are crazy with motor bikes zooming in and out in front of everyone. If we didn't ask questions as to where and when we would be meeting us after the first drop off I dont think he would have told us. When we finished the Crystal caves we wondered about the Fantasy caves because our tickets stated we paid for thise too. We were informed by the driver who spoke to the agent that it was a TYPO on the ticket and we don't get that included. All in all we could have took the ferry across and got on the bus and paid for our own admission and it would have been half the price that we paid. If only I would have known.
