Small but nice museum - The Panoptikum is a small but lovely wax figure museum, which is ideal for passing an hour or two. It is really lovingly designed and we personally really liked the video of how the heads are made. Of course, it is no comparison to the well-known Madame T. museums, but it is definitely not as crowded and is much more lovingly and homely designed. We visited this as a family with small children and were not disappointed for the small price! We would gladly go again ☺️

Radiant hospitality and fascinating characters! - The Panoptikum in Hamburg is undoubtedly a place to visit when exploring the Hanseatic city. Despite a slight crowding during my visit, the overall experience was beautiful and fascinating. I've had the pleasure of visiting the Panopticon twice, and both times it was an absolute highlight of my trip. The variety of wax figures and the attention to detail are impressive, even for someone like me who has visited other wax museums. The price-performance ratio is good. My tip for future visitors would be to visit the Panopticon preferably during the week to avoid the crowds. This gives you more peace and space to admire the figures, take photos and immerse yourself in the fascinating scenes. And you should plan it for a “rainy day”. Special praise goes to the friendly staff at the Panopticon, who do an excellent job. Especially on March 23, 2024, when I visited the Panopticon, they created a warm and welcoming atmosphere as soon as I entered, which made my visit even more pleasant. All in all, I can fully recommend the Panoptikum in Hamburg. It is a unique attraction worth exploring and offers an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.

Fun - This was a fun activity, there were a number of well known historic, American, and yes German figures. Although the museum is small in size there is quite a few interesting pieces. Definitely Recommend if you have some spare time!

Small, manageable exhibition that can be improved - It is a very manageable exhibition and some of the figures were well made. Unfortunately, we expected more and were disappointed. We would not visit it again or recommend it.

Somewhat disappointing - Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing, most of the figures only looked somewhat similar to the originals. It's clear that you can't expect Madame Tussauds here (although not all of the figures there look great either), simply because of the budget. We still had fun, but one figure that really impressed us was Ed Sheeran. The somewhat "creepy" medical exhibits were also something you don't see very often. It must also be said that the price is reasonable, we were here for about 45/50 minutes.
