Good tour - Good tour with guide in English and German. Provided a good feel for the harbour area and waterways.

An afternoon on the River Elbe, Hamburg - The commentary was lively dynamic and knowledgeable with some very funny jokes thrown in. Don't expect the same amount of travel flexibility you might get on hop-on-and-off bus tours, as there is only one boat (check details as we travelled out-of-season). If you decide to get off you will need to wait for the same boat to pick you up on its next circuit, having said that as Hamburg central is relatively small, you can get off and walk back to where ever you need.

Well invester 1.5h - Definitely worth the money. You see a lot and everything looks better from the water. The English moderation was both informative and really amusing, the captain has quite some talent.

Nice way to see Hamburg from the water. - Staff was friendly and kind. Boat ride was a nice but the sound system was challenging to hear. Overall a very nice experience for the price.

Missing boat - To start with, the trip was fantastic - really informative, good facilities onboard and excellent service. We alighted halfway around the circuit, at the Maritime Museum, and went to get the next boat to complete our journey. To explain, you can get off at any stated location and get back on the following boat - there are three boats a day on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, that boat never arrived at the stated time and ourselves and another party of 5 adults and a small child had to forgo the trip. Sadly disappointing as our initial experience was very good.

Started well, but ultimately disappointing - Quite a nice boat trip, but with flaws. First of all, the "hop on, hop off" feature is pretty limited as there are only three boats a day, with two hours in between them. So, if you go on the second boat of the day, as we did, there is only one opportunity to get off at a stop and get back on later. Secondly the boat did not stop at all the stops that were on the map given to you before you board and missed out a big chunk of the route, one of the most interesting parts. Yes, that section can apparently only be navigated when the water is high enough, but as it was only about an hour after high water that shouldn't have been a problem, surely? Finally, the commentary was in German and English before we got off at the Maritime Museum, but when we rejoined the boat to complete the journey the commentary was in German only and so no good for us at all..

Not hop on hop off - The information was good on the tour but it was promoted as hip on hop off yet if you got off no boat was coming back for you so I felt misled

Great - We cruised the river in Hamburg one night last August. The staff were great, the gentleman at the ticket office even allowed us to use our tickets for the night cruise when I had mistakenly bought ones for the afternoon. The cruise would have been stunning if not for the drunk guy that kept shouting at me. No one was in a spot when my husband and I boarded, and 5 minutes later a very intoxicated man came up and spoke to us in German, which we don't speak. We gathered he was saying that was his spot, and he had gone to get a beer, so we moved. 20 minutes into the cruise he was off again, so we moved back to our original spot, which was more spacious as there was two of us and the boat was FULL. He came back 20 minutes later and started yelling at me again, so apparently people can "claim" spots on the boat which they can leave empty and come back whenever they please. He was literally hammered from the drink, wouldn't stop yelling until my husband threatened him and at that point I was very uncomfortable and nervous. It's not the staff's fault but perhaps they can do a better job of not allowing obvious drunk people to ride. Other than this, I will always remember the all-blue lights of Hamburg from a boat on the river that night.

Don't waste your money or time with this tour - This tour are supposed to run both around the harbor but also into the Speicherstadt, and that's why we chose it. The tour did not run at all as promised. We went back and forth three times during the trip, seeing theh same things over and over again. Missed more than half of the promised places and the skipper blamed everything from strong currents, low water, wrong keel and broken bridges. The last straw was when they didn't drive into Speicherstadt, blaming the timetable and low water. Since there were only three parties on the boat and no one got off before then, I don't understand how they can ever keep a timetable if the boat is full and several parties want to get off or on at the various stops. A number of other riverboats pushed on into Speicherstadt but we had to turn back for the third time. Choose another tour if you want to see more than just going back and forth between the starting point and the Hafenmuseum

Not worth going - Really not in English. Mainly German. Went to working port which was nothing to see. Would have skipped this activity. .
