Good value - We used this tour for our trip around Hamburg and found it to be informative and well organised. It is reasonably priced and runs efficiently meaning you can stop and take photos and another bus arrives afterwards at the time it says.

Not good value - In fairness, I should have researched the hop on hop off tours better, but I discovered too late that this tour wasn't worth the money. For 16 euros you get on at the main train station which is stop one and then if you haven't got off, you get dumped at the last stop so they have an empty bus ready for stop one again. I've never been to Hamburg before so I thought I'd do a full circuit and pick somewhere to get off at on the second circuit. No hope of doing that, even though I've done this in lots of other cities before on hop on hop off tours. Also, the ticket is only valid on the date of purchase. It isn't a 24 hour ticket like the Hamburg hop on hop off red bus tour. So my 16 euros wasn't well spent.

This is not an English tour! - I booked the hop on hop off in English but the guide was not fluent. He gave the tour in German. After a long description of a government building he said in English that it was an old house on the right...no detail at all. Also I’d say that Hamburg is small enough that it’s possible to walk to each section of town, perhaps see the main historic areas on your own.

Would not recommend! - Really limited live commentary on board, guide wasn’t professional or knowledgeable at all! Would not recommend!
