Long Lake Adventure Company is located at 75 Old Sambro Road, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are located a mere 10 minutes from downtown Halifax. Limited parking is available onsite with some additional parking available on a few neighbouring side streets. Please arrive 15 minutes before your reservation time so we can check you in. Paddles and lifejackets are supplied. Don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, a watch, and water. Minimum rental time is 1 hour in duration but you may want to book for several hours to fully explore the beautiful Provincial park. Water temperatures are very welcoming if you want to swim during your visit.

Try paddle boarding at Long Lake Provincial Park. At the heart of Long Lake Provincial Park lies Long Lake, a sprawling 5000+ acre natural sanctuary skirting the boundary of Halifax’s metropolitan area. It’s amazingly close to the city center, being just a ten-minute car ride from downtown Halifax, and directly accessible to residents throughout the city. Historically, Long Lake served as the primary source of drinking water for Halifax from the 1800s until the 1970s. This historical use necessitated stringent protections against nearby development threats to its water quality. Today, you’ll find a stunning 3+ km long body of water with crystal-clear waters, nestled along the city’s outskirts with a completely untouched and original natural bank. Long Lake is an idyllic spot to devote a few hours to navigate its breadth and inspect its array of coves, twin islands, and the ancient dam that has shaped it for over two hundred years.
