Horribly disappointing! - This tour is grossly exaggerated in the description and important details are also left out. It was very difficult to find Francisco and his van driver after leaving the port which, knowing what we now know, should have tipped us off. Weeks ahead of this excursion, at the time of booking, Francisco was very aware of our timing for this trip…what time we would be able to meet him and what time we needed to reboard our cruise ship. Based on that clear communication, he should never have accepted us as customers. After finally locating him, we endured a horrible two hour drive to the boat which was to take us to an island for snorkeling. We reminded him again of our timing. He assured us it would be a 15 min boat ride to the snorkeling site and we would have plenty of time. 25 minutes later (with 3 others in a 15’ boat), we got to the tiny sand bar of an island with 100 others where we waited for snorkel gear. After asking Francisco three times for equipment, we finally got in the water where we were able to see a few fish during our 10 minute snorkeling “adventure”. We left the water and I began reminding Francisco about our timing. Unbeknownst to us, the boat left after dropping us off and was nowhere in site. After 30 minutes of anxiously waiting, Francisco finally began asking other boat captains if they could take us back to our ground transportation. We finallygot in a boat (with coolers and bags of trash) for the return ride. We had a harrowing trip back to the van where we were 45 minutes later departing than we should have been for a nearly two hour horribly dangerous ride back to port. This was not a private tour as advertised. Because there was no time for the lunch that was to be included, Francisco offered “to-go” lunches before we got in the van but we had zero time to spare to even look at a menu, not to mention that our grandsons were nauseous from the crazy trip back to the van. We barely made it back to port in time to board our ship but I would never recommend this excursion. It was a terribly frightening, disappointing experience from start to finish. What a let down for our grandsons after looking forward to their first snorkeling experience for months.
