The Call of Kilimanjaro

As a wildlife photographer and travel writer, my heart has always been tethered to the wild landscapes of Africa. Reaching Uhuru Peak

Summit day arrived with a mix of excitement and trepidation. The early morning ascent to Uhuru Peak was grueling, yet the reward was unparalleled. Standing at the highest point in Africa, I felt a profound connection to the continent I love. Emanuel and Joseph’s unwavering support, even at 5700 meters, was a gesture of friendship and solidarity I will never forget.

The descent to Mweka Camp was a reflective journey, a time to absorb the magnitude of what we had achieved. As we passed through the vibrant rainforest, I was reminded of the importance of preserving these natural wonders for future generations.
