Hanoi - Hoa Lu Ancient Capital – Tam Coc - Mua Cave (L/D)
Hoa Lu Temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties - 7:30 - 8:00 Guests are warmly welcomed at their hotel lobby in Hanoi Old Quarter before departing for a two-day trip to Ninh Binh. The first significant stop on the itinerary is Hoa Lu, the capital of Vietnam from 968 to 1010. Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is recognized as a national-level cultural-historical relic of great importance. It served as a robust military stronghold for three successive dynasties in Vietnamese history: the Dinh Dynasty, Early Le Dynasty, and Ly Dynasty. The Imperial site, buried 3 meters underground, is now a fascinating place to explore. Visitors will have the opportunity to view ancient items used by the royal family. A buffet lunch featuring a variety of local dishes, including vegetarian options, will be served at a local restaurant.
Tam Coc - After lunch, guests will board a bamboo boat, rowed by local residents, on the Hoang Long River to visit Tam Coc (three caves). The journey through three vast caves offers a brief escape from the intense summer sun. The round trip on the river takes about two hours, during which visitors can observe local fishermen, village life along the river, and the stunning limestone karst formations that make Tam Coc famous. The tour continues with a 45-minute cycling excursion around the village to explore local life.
Mua Caves - The tour then proceeds by bus to Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). Visitors can challenge themselves by climbing nearly 500 steps to reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain, where they will be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of Tam Coc.
5 PM: Check-in at the accommodation followed by dinner. The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Tam Coc.
Bai Dinh Pagoda - Trang An Eco Complex - Hanoi (B/L)
Bai Dinh Pagoda - 07:00: Enjoy breakfast and some free time to soak in the countryside atmosphere.
10:00: A car will pick guests up from their accommodation for a transfer to Bai Dinh Pagoda. Visitors will explore Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest pagoda in Vietnam, featuring 500 La Han statues and the largest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam, standing 10 meters tall and weighing 100 tons.
12:30: Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before visiting Trang An.
Trang An Landscape Complex - 13:30: Depart to visit the Trang An Eco-Tourism attraction, known for its stunning scenic landscapes. Guests will board a small boat to explore Trang An, witnessing majestic limestone cliffs, mysterious yet inviting caves, and countryside views such as tranquil streams, rice paddies, and lush green fields. The boat trip includes visits to the cave complex: Lam, Vang, Thanh Truot, and Dai caves, showcasing the wild and mysterious scenery of mountains and rivers, reminiscent of Ha Long Bay on land in Ninh Binh.
17:00: Return to the bus for the journey back to Hanoi.
20:00: Arrival in Hanoi. The tour concludes. Looking forward to seeing you next time!
