- Puntan Dos Amantes (Two Lover’s Point) - This is one of Guam’s most popular attractions for a reason. A balcony extends over a dramatic drop to the ocean, offering visitors stunning views of the coastline. This site is steeped in the history of the indigenous Chamorro people and is named after an ancient legend you’ll discover during your visit.
- WWII Memorial “The Last Mission” - This modest monument marks a pivotal moment in World War II: the final mission of the war. An American bombing run was launched from Guam, and on their return, the bombers learned via radio that Japan had surrendered, bringing the long war to an end.
- Ritidian Point - As the northernmost point of Guam, Ritidian Point offers one of the island’s most spectacular vistas, so be sure to bring your camera! While enjoying the views, you’ll also learn about some of the island’s remarkable wildlife.
- Onward Mangilao Golf Club - Golf enthusiasts will find this course exceptional! Designed by renowned golf course architect Robin Nelson, it features sweeping ocean views and has been ranked among the top 100 golf courses worldwide.
- Country Club of the Pacific - Another fantastic spot to enjoy the Pacific while perfecting your swing. This 18-hole golf course, adorned with coconut trees, feels like a slice of paradise and is one of the oldest on the island.
- Malojloj Falls - These natural falls are not only stunning but also perfect for thrill-seekers looking to dive in! The falls reach about 25 feet at their highest point, offering a manageable yet exhilarating experience.
- Inarajan Natural Pool - Inarajan Natural Pool is a must-visit. This rocky, natural saltwater pool is fully protected from ocean waves, teeming with colorful fish darting around the reefs!
- Merizo Bell Tower - Dating back to the early 1900s, this bell tower holds great significance for the local community. It nearly collapsed due to erosion in the early 2000s but has been restored and is now as sturdy as ever.
- Fort Nuestra Senora de la Soledad - Known in English as Our Lady of Solitude Fort, this solemn ruin was constructed by the Spanish to safeguard galleons entering the bay with goods. Legends of buried treasure have long surrounded the structure, though no one has ever discovered even a single doubloon.
- Mount Lamlam Summit - Believe it or not, it’s true! Although it achieves this by a technicality. Most of Mount Lamlam is submerged underwater, extending down to the Mariana Trench, the ocean’s deepest known point. At its lowest, the Mariana Trench is over 36,000 feet deep, making this technically the world’s tallest mountain at nearly 38,000 ft. Everest stands at only 29,000 ft! Now you have some intriguing trivia to share.
- Sella Bay Overlook - This overlook also features a hiking trail down to Sella Bay. It’s about a 45-minute walk, and near the end, you’ll find an old Spanish bridge that offers excellent photo opportunities.
- Piti Guns - These three massive 140mm cannons were installed by the Japanese military to defend against an American assault on the island. Today, they remain remarkably intact, though the encroaching jungle gives them an appearance of being long forgotten.
- Latte of Freedom - “Latte” is a Chamorro term for structures made of stone pillars topped with a cup-shaped stone. This towering cement structure offers panoramic views and serves as Guam’s equivalent to New York’s Statue of Liberty.
- Guam Pacific War Museum - Those interested in exploring Guam’s role during World War II will find this compact and fascinating museum captivating. Equally intriguing is the fact that it was built and curated not by the government but by a single individual!
- Plaza de España - This beautiful plaza was originally the site of the Spanish Governor’s Palace during Spain’s occupation. Over the years, it has changed hands several times but remains as picturesque as ever.
- Our Lady of Purification - This cathedral dates back to 1669! It has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times over the centuries and continues to be a significant part of Guam’s capital.
