Enjoyable Alexandria day trip - Enjoyable day trip to Alexandria with Emo Tours, nice break from Cairo. We took the driver and guide option and paid entry fees where required. Visited Roman Ampitheatre, catacombs, Qaitbay citadel (entry for each EGP200/person) and Bibliotheca (no charge unless want to visit reading room). Excellent local guide provided, spoke very good English. Took the option to eat at seafood restaurant on guide recommendation (fixed menu US$10/pp - soup + grilled fish)

Exemplary support, expert driver - We had some additional request regarding the timings of the day trip to Alexandria, which was accommodated by the team, although there were some hiccups. The driver, Mohamed Eyo was sharp & skillled in driving and the car was well maintained.

Wonderful experience, trip to Alexandria from Cairo - The driver Mohammed picked us up in time in Cairo and we went on the desert road to Alexandria. He spoke English very well and communicated clearly. He drove very safely.

Top Tour nach Alexandria - Tour is just highly recommended. The driver Mohammad and our guide Alaa were top team. Both very nice and accommodating and especially not exhausting as it can often be in Egypt. Alaa explained everything that was to know and has answered every question very detailed. Can only recommend this tour via Emo Tours.

Amazing!!! - Our day began with our driver picking us up and being very detail about what the plan will be for the day. Since it was a long drive he stop to have coffee and restrom break. When we got to amazing Alexandria we meet Reem which was the most addorable kind knowlegeble person. She was very over protective about her tourist we felt very safe with her. She was very detail and would explained and answer all our questions and not get mad since a I had a million questions for her. Defenetly recommend her. Thank you for everything Reem you made us see Alexandria as she took us back in time.

Family day trip to Alexandria - We ordered and got a German guide, which was very friendly and patient with our 3 boys. He also shared a lot of historical facts and make the day trip even more interesting

Cairo to Alexandria Day - Our driver from Cairo, whose name I fail to recall, was as kind and professional as they come, although our only means of communication was via Google Translate!
We were picked up timely in a clean and cooled car, offered a pitstop at a bright well-stocked convenience station, then connected with our guide in Alexandria.
Our cheerful, local guide, Samira, expertly directed our driver from site to site while passionately sharing her in-depth knowledge of Egyptian history, food and culture.
We visited many historicly interesting places, some more so than others, but felt the benefits from each regardless.
A highlight to the day was the view from the restaurant on the Mediterranean Sea, where we enjoyed a nice lunch.
Personally I would have liked to linger at a specific site or two, but the itinerary dictates a faster pace.
Overall this day trip was a good experience and money well spent, as we cannot imagine visiting a busy city like Alexandria without a driver and/or a professional guide to facilitate maneuvering around on budgeted time.

Great experience, avoid the lunch option. - The trip from Cairo to Alexandria was pleasant. The guide awaited us in Alexandria. The driver spoke only English but during the journey he explained many things to us. The guide was very young but very prepared and spoke excellent Italian. The only problem of the day was lunch. The place chosen by the agency was far below the hygienic standards we are used to in Italy. The agency should pay much more attention to the presence of a small child. The guide and the driver have worked to take us to buy packaged food. It is better not to book the lunch option and pay for the tickets separately.

Perhaps a one off experience.. - Mine was a simple transfer to Alexandria from Cairo.
The operations team in the background was good in coordinating my time. Super helpful!! :)
But I think where the issue is, is with the driver mohamed... the driver was trying to rip me off or try to get more money from me.
Several instances he tried to get me to pay more...
Today was a simple transfer pick up from hotel in Cairo, then to eat at a restaurant in Alexandria, and then a drop off in hotel in Alexandria.
I was trying to be nice to the driver, i even offered him to eat with me, at my expense...
We parked at the car park area beside the restaurant, after paying for a generous meal that I was happy to share and buy him food ...paying about 3500egp for lunch for the both of us...
I think he realized I had money to pay...
He then Asked me for car parking fee to pay the watcher... he asked me to give him 200 EGP for the parking watcher... which i know this is too much.. usually 10-50egp is sufficient..
I gave the driver 100egp instead. I see him pocketing the cash as he walked to the watcher, and giving another amount from his other hand...
Then when he dropped me off the hotel here in alexandria... he tried to get me to pay him another 200EGP for entrance fee into the hotel lobby...
I know that is not true, there is no fee...I ignored it...
But at the end I still tipped him 400egp.... It wouldve been more, but after seeing what he was trying to do, I lowered my tip...
But he was definitely trying to take advantage of me...driver could've been more honest...unfortunate, but it happens. Driver could've been more grateful and honest and professional.
