Fabulous jeep tour with Vang and Son - We just got back to Hanoi after a fabulous jeep tour with our lovely and knowledgeable guide, Vang and our safe and smiley driver, Son. If you want to experience the Ha Giang loop without going in the back of a motorbike then this is definitely the way to do it. The 4 day tour gives the chance to go further north and visit the ethnic villages and really get an understanding of the region without any rush. This was a trip for our 30th wedding anniversary and, on the second night they had arranged a surprise cake for us at the Homestay and the owners and team all came out to wish us a happy anniversary complete with candles, sparklers and a celebration hat. It was a super-special moment made even more so when the very young child bought me a little bunch of flowers - those are moments and memories worth more than gold. All the Homestays were comfortable and clean and each was very different from the last. Every moment was special and it was probably the most important part of our trip for understanding day to day life in the North. Along the way we met a group who were doing the motorbike tour with the same company and were equally happy do you are safe to book whichever method of travel suits you best. Thank you Vang and Son for a super-special few days and we won’t forget you both

Adventure trip! Must do! - This was, perhaps, one of the best trips I’ve taken ever. It was truly an adventure. We had heard about the Ha Giang loop from our daughter who went on the back of a motorbike - we didn’t think our bottoms would be up it! The jeep option, in this case, an open air old Soviet army model, was not only suitable for the bumpy roads, it was comfortable and added an authentic feel to our off the beaten track trek. The two real star of the trip were our guide Vang and driver Son. Both were super friendly and made up feel very at home and comfortable. Vang has a wealth of knowledge of the area and great English. Plus we had fab conversations about life and culture in Vietnam. I learned so much! The home stays were comfortable, much like a cross between a guest house and a British B&B. This trip is part of our 30th wedding anniversary and much to our surprise and delight, on the second night, we were given a lovely cake! So very nice of the organiser!! And much appreciated. If you want to experience this amazing area of Vietnam and don’t want to join the ‘20 somethings’ on the back of a bike, I can’t recommend this adventure enough! Thank you Vanguard and Son for giving us such an amazing experience!

Great memories of the Ha Giang loop on a bike - Views of the mountains were amazing. Glad to have met the local people and children. Experience on a motorbike was unique and memorable. My guide, Mr Windy, was enthusiastic and fun loving!

5 stars for Nien and Thang - I have been coming to Ha Giang regularly since moving to Vietnam in 2017. My 83-year-old grandmother came to visit and Ha Giang was a must-see for her, so we booked the open jeep tour to make sure she wouldn’t have any trouble getting around. Our driver, Thang, was so gracious and attentive to her, on top of being a fantastic driver! He is one of the nicest and most considerate people I’ve met. We were lucky to have him! And Nien was a fantastic guide! His command of English is near fluent, and he was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Not to mention funny! We really enjoyed his company. And he went out of his way to make sure we were all enjoying ourselves and to show me things I may not have seen on one of my many trips on the loop before. Thang and Nien really made the trip for us. I cant say enough kind things about them!

A trip in a jeep - Although I don't speak English or Vietnamese, I enjoyed the trip very much. Beautiful nature, pleasant people. We had an excellent guide Ja Vu and an excellent driver. They tried to accommodate us in everything, I definitely recommend it to everyone who doesn't dare to ride motorbikes in the mountains. It's more comfortable and won't hurt your butt. Mirek

Way to hidden part of Vietnam. We saw ethnics people, who gain everything for their life, from small fields! - We get very good services for our money. Our quide was very nice and helpfull. He done everything, what we ordered. It was very fascinating to see, how nativ people are living there. The tour was primary only about beeing in the jeep and looking around, but our guide understood, that we want to walk, so he took us on 10 kilometers trip, that was not on regulary scedule. Highlights for me was evening party on squar and swimming in waterfall. Longstory short: we were really satisfied and have a lot of fun with our guide and drivers. Absolutelly recommended!!!
