Pickup at Nepal/Tibetan Border, Gyirong Valley, and Pakba (Paba) Monastery

Gyirong County - Guests will be picked up from the Gyirong Resa border and driven to the town of Gyirong. Here, they will visit the Pakba (Paba) Monastery and the Kyirong (Gyirong) Valley. Afterward, they will be transported to their hotel to rest and acclimate to the altitude of over 2000 meters.

Peikucuo (Paiku) Lake, Shishapangma Mountain, Everest Base Camp, Rongbuk Monastery

Rongbuk Monastery - In Old Tingri town, visitors will enter the Mount Everest preservation area. They will enjoy the view of the Mount Everest Base Camp and visit Rongbuk Monastery, the world’s highest monastery and the closest to Mount Everest.

Sera Monastery - Norbulingka Palace

Sera Monastery - Located 5 kilometers north of Lhasa city at the base of Sera Wutse, Sera Monastery was built during a hailstorm, which inspired its name, Sera (“hailstorm”). Constructed in 1419 by Jamchen Choeje Shakya Yeshi, a disciple of Master Tsongkhapa, it is one of the six “Gelugpa” Yellow Hat sect monasteries in Tibet. Once home to 5,500 monks, its main chapel, Tamdrin “the horse-necked, Hayagriva,” was said to have been unearthed just after the monastery’s construction. Each year, many pilgrims and tourists visit Sera.

Norbulingka (Precious Stone Garden) - Norbulingka Park, meaning Jewel Garden in Tibetan, served as the summer residence of the Dalai Lamas. Situated near Lhasa city, it is a highlight of the Lhasa city tour. Built in the 18th century during the time of the seventh Dalai Lama, Norbulingka has been reconstructed over 200 years and now spans 360,000 square meters. The grounds include Kelsang Podrang, Chensal Podrang, and Tagden Mingyur Podrang, three palaces built for the 7th, 13th, and 14th Dalai Lamas. Every summer, the Dalai Lamas moved from Potala Palace to Norbulingka Park. Tibetan traditional opera and dance performances occur annually from June 30th to July 6th, attracting many visitors. It is a wonderful place to visit and enjoy.
