The centre also offers some of the finest views of the Brahmaputra River.
- Assam Rajyik State Museum - Founded in 1940, this museum is a treasure trove of ancient sculptures made from stone, wood, metal, and terracotta, including some remarkable erotic sculptures. It showcases tribal crafts, folk art, the natural history of Northeast India, and World War II history. The museum also displays ancient manuscripts, including documents written on the bark of old trees, which are well-preserved.

Amazing Tour - Exceeded Expectations - I had an exceptional experience touring Guwahati with Avani Travel Services. My guide was Paul and he is one of the best guides I have met in India. He helped me do Kamakhya Devi Darshan within 15-20 minutes, took several nice photographs of me, took me to an authentic Assamese restaurant designed in traditional Assamese fashion and most importantly explained the history of Assam since Mahabharata times, as well the general culture of the place. We visited the Assam State Museum and Brahmaputra Heritage Center. At the end of the tour, there was a sunset cruise where two women performed Bihu dance, a guy sang some Bollywood songs live and dinner was provided. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody.

Cricket and Culture in Guwahati - We ( two chaps in their 70s) travelled to Guwahati and Ranchi to watch international cricket, India v South Africa. I contacted Avani Travel services and they arranged all transport, airport pickups and a daily service to and from the cricket. In addition on our free day we did the Guwahati Day Tour, Assamese Lunch and Sunset River Cruise. Sudarshan and driver Rupam were fantastic in every respect. Attentive to our needs and very considerate of our mobility issues. I highly recommend this company.

Great way to see Guwahati in a day! - I booked this tour for me and my Mam, the driver arrived promptly and we managed to see plenty; the highlights are the Brahmaputra Heritage centre & the boat trip!! Great, knowledgeable tour guide, definitely recommend 😁

Great Guwahati day trip - We had booked this Guwahati day tour during our recent visit to Guwahati and the trip was excellent. The guide Mr. Sanu had excellent knowledge of the city and provided us with great trips. The tour was well planned and we had a good tour. The lunch provided was also excellent. Highly recommended.

Well planned and executed by the tour company - This company is owned by well knowledge people who have excellent experience in tourism industry with great trips that can be customised for each family or a group. Guwahati day tour - A well structured trip for a quick tour of main places in Guwahati. Evening cruise was excellent. Our tour guide Mr Bipul was very friendly and gave a lot of information about the local history of the places too. U can a good glimpse of all places. Some places are closed on some days eg emporium is closed on Sunday etc. Plan accordingly. A great trip overall!
