Dehang Miao Village is situated in the western suburb of Jishou City, within the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province, China. In the Hmong language, “dehang” translates to “beautiful valley.” The village is nestled in the heart of the Dehang scenic area, surrounded by mountains and waterfalls, featuring wind-and-fire walls, Diaojiao houses, and intricately carved windows.
Aizhai Bridge: The world’s highest and longest tunnel-to-tunnel bridge is now open to traffic in Hunan Province, central China. The Aizhai suspension bridge connects two tunnels 1,176 meters apart, carrying traffic 355 meters above the Dehang Canyon floor. Construction began in October 2007, with the main sections completed by the end of last year. The bridge is designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the mountainous region, where narrow, steep, and winding roads often cause delays.
