Our journey commences at 8:00 a.m. We’ll be exploring a reserved forest area spanning around 6.078 hectares, rich in tropical dry tree vegetation. This splendid site is the habitat for 54 mammal species, 221 bird species, 8 amphibian species and 12 reptile varieties. Our path takes us through the scenic beauty of the Buena Vista trail, which is a leisurely walk. After trekking for an hour and a half, we’ll reach Morro mangroves, a fishing harbour. Enjoy a 2-hour boat ride along the tranquil and welcoming estuary, home to various bird species and herons, including the cocoi heron, magnificent frigate, white ibis, tricolored heron, great egret, blue heron, and roseate spoonbill. The surrounding area of this site is brimming with different mangroves such as the red, white, and black. These roots are of significant importance to the local community due to the fishing resources they offer.
