Excellent Bucket List Experience - Tikal Go is a thoroughly professional and flexible company. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Their communication was excellent. our tour guide Daniella was a delight, our driver Danielson was great. We felt that we got exactly what we needed, someone intelligent with a great grasp of history, and the patience to work with two senior citizens. Oh, and the ruins are so worth it if you are a history buff!

TikalGo is a well-run tour company! - This was am amazing tour. We booked the private tour from Flores. We were staying at Bolontiku resort, so TikalGo picked us up at the boat dock in Flores. It was an easy drive to Tikal. Our guide was Roel, along with the driver (can't remember his name). There was time for a quick refreshment and/or coffee upon entering the park. Then we spent a few hours walking around. We climbed Temple II and Temple IV. There's quite a bit of walking, but we walked in the shady area for most of the time. You will need sunscreen, a hat, and possible mosquito repellant, depending on the weather. It would be best to wear sneakers or some other sturdy walking shoe (rather than sandals or flip flops.) Roel was funny and also very informative at the same time. It was an amazing view from both temples. I thought it would be a hike to go up Temple IV, but it wasn't bad at all. Lunch was amazing after seeing all the temples. We had grilled vegetable soup, grilled chicken with rice and tortillas, and fruit. The grilled chicken was some of the best I've had. After lunch we walked back to the entrance. There was ample time for souvenir shopping. Tikal is now my favorite Mayan temple of all the ones I've visited so far. If you can, go before all the crowds come back to Guatemala. Prior to COVID, we were told that there were long lines to wait to get up to the tops of the temples. Luckily that was not an issue for us at all. I highly recommend TikalGo for this tour!

Tikal Go gets it done. - The trip was excellent. We did the exclusive trip, so it was just our family of 4 and our guide. We were able to leave earlier to stay ahead of other tour groups. They picked us up at our hotel in San Ignacio, assisted with the border crossing and made the entire trip very easy. Everything went just as we planed. Their knowledge of the local area, Tikal and the Mayans was much appreciated.

Fantastic experience thanks to TikalGo! - We took a private tour from Guatemala City to Tikal last weekend. This tour was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Guatemala, and I don't say that lightly; we loved all of our time in Guatemala. The logistics of getting from Guatemala City to Tikal, requires a plane ride, and an hour+ drive, unless you decide to take more time and visit sites on the way to Flores. TikalGo scheduled this entire trip for us. We just had to arrive at the airport, and everything else was taken care of. Since we were doing this all in a single day without the strongest Spanish language skills having everything taken care of for us was HUGE. Our tour guide Roel was the great. He was friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgable about Tikal and the Maya. He inspired me to read and learn more about Mayan history, which is fascinating! The time in Tikal was hard to describe. The site is certainly beautiful. The temples and other restored structures are stunning. The jungle all around makes it all the more amazing since the Mayans managed to push all that back and create this massive city, of which only a small portion is uncovered today. The entire experience is was very powerful, and we were so grateful to have had the opportunity to visit this site. We would recommend anyone thinking of visiting Tikal to contact TikalGo immediately to book a trip! You will not regret it. Thanks again to our amazing tour guide Roel, and our driver Alex! You guys are the best.

Highly recommend TikalGo. You definitely need them for Tikal! - Our Tikal experience was wonderful, all thanks to TikalGo! The park is HUGE. You definitely need a tour guide especially if you don't have the whole day to wander. Our entire journey lasted about 6 hours. We got picked up at 8am on Flores Island. The drive to Tikal was about 1 hour. We toured the park for about 3 hours (it went by so quick!) and ate an amazing lunch which was included in the package at the lovely restaurant inside the park. When I read lunch was included, I expected cold sad sandwiches but NOPE, it's a yummy 2 course meal y'all. We paid extra for beers. Very impressive! We left the park around 1pm and were dropped off around 2pm as we requested. Our guide was Noel. We learned so much from him on Tikal/Guatemala history. He is a wealth of knowledge and a great communicator. He had a very relaxed energy which was a great match for my partner and I. He loves birds and monkeys and always pointed them out for us whenever he spotted them. Great chats! The driver Antonio was also so polite and an awesome driver. Communication with owner Carlos was very easy via WhatsApp. He was extremely responsive and patient throughout our journey. A small detail worth mentioning is that the entire TikalGo team wears a white/green golf shirt with their logo on it! Very identifiable and helpful when getting picked up. Thank you TikalGo team!

TIKALGO IS THE WAY - Our group chose the Tikal Petén Tour Package deal, where we had an incredible tour of the Mayan Ruins and stayed at the charming Hotel Isla Flores. Our Tour Guides Cesar and Alex were awesome! Alex was reliable, professional, patient, and prompt. He drove us where we needed to go and wanted to go. Cesar is passionate, knowledgeable, dedicated and an excellent photographer. He knows all the tips and tricks on how to take the best pictures of you and your group. Cesar is patient and kind. He let us take our time to explore the acropolis, all the while dispensing valuable knowledge of the Mayan history. He was even helpful when we were exploring the shops for souvenirs, answering questions I had about certain items such as Mayan masks. We learned so rich history about the Mayan culture. The best parts were climbing up the impressive Temples, touching the sky, and basking in the glorious views at the top. Alex and Cesar are masters of their craft, and I would recommend that you ask for them if you travel with TikalGo. This tour and tour guides were truly special from start to finish. We would definitely return and do another trip with TikalGo and the these tour guides! Thank you for a marvelous time! Sincerely, Gloria, Pablo, Johnathan, and Tito

My husband and I did two days and one night in Tikal and it was an experience we will always remember. Carlos (the owner) was extremely responsive and helpful, and our Tour Guide Roel was informative, funny, and very kind. The drivers were excellent and we enjoyed chatting with William and Alex. Thank you so much to the great team for putting together an unforgettable experience.

MAGICAL Peten - I was referred to Tikal Go by my cousin, who took a tour with them a few weeks before I arrived in Peten. I called them the day I landed in Peten, and despite the last-minute-ness of our call, the team was more than willing to make our time there as magical as possible. We took the first day to relax at our hotel, and since we only had one day left to explore the area, we decided to do 2 tours in 1 day. The first one we did was Tikal (I recommend waking up early at 5am because there aren’t that many people at the park yet and we got to see more wildlife), and then we went to Yax-ha to watch the sunset from Pyramid 216 (one of the best views I’ve seen in my life). Alex and Pablo were our guides- Alex drove and Pablo walked us through each of the parks.. and let me just say, the amount of knowledge that Pablo showed surpassed any other guide I’ve ever toured with. You can tell he not only knew a lot about the place, but also had a hunger and a passion that makes him want to keep learning more.. he not only studied ecotourism but also has a degree in archaeology, which gives him much more insight. Some may want to go for a less-pricey option, but if you really want to make the best out of your time in Peten, it’s well worth the $. What a great experience. Thank you Tikal Go- we hope to come back soon!

Great Tour of Tikal and Yaxha for our Family - First of all-- I felt very safe in terms of the COVID19 mitigation efforts. Everyone wore masks, good hand hygiene, it was very responsible and we were in outdoor locations the majority of the time. The parks were not crowded. We had a great tour of Tikal and Yaxha, as well as a little bit of Flores with TikalGo with Bendicto as guide and Alex as driver. Benedicto is very knowledgeable about Maya history, and the local flora and fauna and esp the birds. The team was very flexible and worked hard to help us make the most of the time we had. We really enjoyed the tour of Tikal, the sunrise in Tikal, and sunset in Yaxha. The information kept everyone (incl kids) very engaged, Benedicto did a great job of bringing together the cosmology of the sites we were seeing. I was impressed. There was a lot of flexibility to help us see as much as we wanted to (there was always a positive response to -- hey, what's over here??). The guys were also super when we had some tummy upset in one of our group, helping us learn about local herbs and plants etc; they were very caring. We did most of the tour in Spanish, but Benedicto was great guiding in English also, as one of our kids has limited Spanish. Both Jungle Lodge and Hotel Isla de Flores were very nice, super staff, pretty and clean -- though food was best at the smaller places we stopped (the included lunches were good). We appreciated excellent communication with Carlos to set-up the arrangements, he was very responsive, and the costs were competitive with other companies. I am very happy to recommend TikalGo to other families and groups.
