Panajachel to San Juan boat trip - We've been to Panajachel & Lake Atitlan in the past. This is the first time that we booked a boat tour over to San Juan La Laguna. Taking the boat across was the fastest way between the two. Our group decided to spend 3 hours in San Juan rather than 2 with 1 hour in Panajachel. The street decorations and mural paintings are incredible. You can also buy completely hand made fabric goods that they make there in the town from the cotton trees.

Gustavo was our tour... - Gustavo was our tour guide. He picked us up from the hotel right on time. We stopped at a café about an hour into our trip for coffee and breakfast. He was patient with us while eating. The road to the lake has a lot of curves, bumps, and traffic, however, Gustavo was able to navigate the roads with no issues. If you are prone to motion sickness, I would recommend taking medicine beforehand. Once we arrived at the lake, we were able to use the restroom at a restaurant that you will eventually eat at for lunch. The views were breathtaking and a perfect photo stop on the rooftop. The boat that we rode was clean. It is about a 20 to 25 minute lake ride to the town. Our first stop was a shop where the local woman would weave clothes and other items. The presentation was brief but very nice and informative. I truly enjoyed it. Then we were able to roam the town on our own for about an hour. There are many little shops and some restaurants and bars. Even though some stores accept credit card, some of the machines were not working, and a service fee would be added. So, its best to bring cash. We later met up with Gustavo at a meeting point, then walked to the dock to take the boat back to the restaurant across the lake. My only complaint would be to give the tourists different lunch options at the restaurant was quite expensive. I would recommend this tour to future tourist.

A beautiful day at the lake - The drive to the lake took awhile because of the slow windy roads but the lake was so beautiful and the small towns were very nice to shop in. We made a stop on the way to have some breakfast and it was a lovely restaurant, very nice.

Day trip to lake Atitlan and more. - Nice fun experience, a big thank you to Byron & Jorge our driver for showing us Guatemala and bringing us back safely. Very nice guides. Enjoyed learning about chocolate, coffee, medicinal plants, and how they texture/weave garments in Panajachel. Long day but worth it, good views.

Lakes, Islands, and Volcanoes - A long day but certainly worth it, it's a good three hour drive from the hotel to the lake but our guide Luis was a great conversationalist. Upon finally getting to the lake we were put on a private boat and took a good 45 mins ride to the island. Now honestly I could have gone without the island, it was essentially a trip to the island so they could take us to three different vendors the tour company probably has deals with to shop. Now I will concede, did buy some bomb rare honey, but all in all the highlight for me was simply gazing upon the lake and volcanos. I'll give these guys a solid B grade.

Tour was really short,... - Tour was really short, arrived late due to traffic, didn’t experience the coffee experience because no time. Tour guy took us to a restaurant that was over priced, wish we got the option on what to eat since we were paying. I would have preferred authentic food, other than American food which I can eat any day. Just felt to rush for a beautiful place. Next time will definitely skip the tour and come on my own pace

The description of that... - The description of that volcano visit indicates there is red lava flowing and you see it. We were very disappointed to discover there is no love of flowing and there is no caldera to look at so you just did the hike up part of the volcano which is not interesting
