Additional Information

Experiencing our Exclusive Horse Expedition is an exceptional privilege as it takes place on a secluded ranch that has remained inaccessible to the average public. Our friendly troupe of 22 horses, all bred and raised in this very ranch, run unfettered - often with their offspring alongside them. Embark on a 1.5-hour equine trek traversing the thriving jungle, taking in awe-inspiring volcano vistas - all three of them, passing through locally cultivated land, and finally culminating at an elevated altitude of 8000ft., overlooking the formidable Volcano Fuego, with 2-3 knowledgeable wranglers as your companions on this journey.
For those who prefer not to ride, you’re still welcome to appreciate the splendor of the ranch and its equine residents. Our authentically rustic ranch house, is a testament to classic Guatemalan ‘Campo’ design, featuring an open fire grill and indoor equine lodgings. Savor our offerings of wine, cheese, and a hearty BBQ meal - don’t be surprised if a horse joins your courtyard feast!
Riding enthusiasts and non-riders alike are encouraged to explore our organic gardens. A brisk walk to the apex of the property rewards one with jaw-dropping scenery and an impressive collection of 400 species of trees, orchids, and succulents.
An authentic cultural journey awaits those with a passion for horses, nature, photography, and ideal for unforgettable, romantic retreats, unique in its character and charm.

Must do in Antigua! - What an amazing experience! If you are in Antigua....this is a must! Our guide Manuel was the best! Super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the horse ride and the views of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes....unreal! I don't ride at all and their team made sure I felt comfortable on their horses. The property is absolutely stunning. The barn is decorated with hand crafted wooden art. So beautiful! The food was outstanding. Feta bruschetta, smoked sausage, salad and wine! Everything was top notch! We ended up hanging out with Manuel and Nikki in Antigua later that night after getting a GREAT recommendation for live music in Antigua. Super sweet people! You can tell that this is truly a passion for Nikki and her team. We loved meeting you all! We will definitely come back and do this again!

A high in so many ways! - If you like horses, incredible views and great food in a lovely rustic setting, this is a must-do activity in Antigua. Nicole treats her clients like old friends, going the extra mile to assure their experiences are fun, safe, and memorable. Jorge, who owns the property, is a gracious host with both a welcoming informality and the charm of old-world patronus. This isn’t just a way to fill an afternoon in Guatemala—it’s a trip into another world.

More than a horse riding experience. - My daughter and I visited Finca In the Clouds, it is a beautiful place with amazing views, mountains, volcanoes, free horses, good food and friendly hosts. They take care of you and it is a nice first timers’ experience. It is a unique experience, more than just riding horses. We enjoyed good food, beautiful views, Nicole and her crew are excellent hosts 😊 If you are not a rider, you can still walk around and enjoy a relaxed day. The horses (Principe and Joe) were docile and well trained, it’s a nice experience for first timers 🙏🏻 Enjoying the herd and the dogs is a great moment! We have beautiful pics. Thank you!

Best Healing Medicine - I got to visit this horse ranch in Guatemala back in Jan. We searched for the wild horses as we took a hike with the beautiful women who put this experience together. It was one of the most magical experiences finding and connecting with the horses, especially because they are untainted, well taken care of, loved, wild, and living in their natural habitat, which is very rare. I got a chance to ride one of the trained horses in the mountains of Guatemala that was part of the same ranch. The vibration of the horses impacted me at such deep levels that I cried a lot that day on the way back home to Antigua. I was talking to Niki, the lady who trains the horses, about possibly going back to live at Lake Atitlan where there’s a group of horses she wants to rehabilitate. I do energy healing and I knew that I could work on these horses and they would work on me. Horses are natural healers. Since the quarantine, I didn’t get to go back to Lake Atitlan, but it is a wish of mine. Something to think about. Also, I didn’t get to take many photos with the horses because I was fully immersed in this otherworldly experience and didn’t care to involve my camera. ☁️🌲🐴♥️
