Visit to Guatape and el Penol - Our guide Alex was great and he made the trip really fun. It was like hanging out with a friend. Very knowledgeable and he answered all our questions. My husband and I had a wonderful time.

Fun full day for anyone in Medellìn that likes a bit of adventure! - We booked a day trip for ATV + Guatapé Rock (entrance fee included) + Guatapé tour. We also considered adding a Jetski ride on the lake near Guatapé but held off on booking that part when we made the reservation. We didn't contact Ecoventure until the day before our desired trip date and they were extremely accommodating. We actually received 15% + an additional 10% off the whole trip! Our guide, Esteban, met us at our hostel at 8:00 am to pick us up. Right off the bat you could tell how friendly he was and his English was very good. He's also happy to help you practice Spanish if you'd like to as well. We arrived at the ATV center (near José Maria Int. Airport) just before 9:00. The ATV experience is ran by a different company contracted out and it was an awesome experience. It's a mix of paved road, diet road and off road driving and was a great mix of fun while not being too challenging. There was a miscommunication and the ATV company only took us out for an hour instead of 1.5 hours. I mentioned this to Ecoventure through their whatsapp; they were prompt with confirming that the time was wrong and offering the solution of giving us the Jetski part of the tour for free! After this we went to the big rock of Guatapé which was very cool, I don't want to spoil it so I won't describe too much of what it's like. I will say the view at the top is so amazing it made the bad traffic completely worth it. Finally we had some lunch in the city of Guatapé (bring some extra cash for this), rode some JetSkis on the Lake, and toured the city while doing some shopping before getting in the car to head back to Medellìn. The whole day was just under 12 hours. Overall it was a 5/5 experience for both of us and I would recommend Ecoventure (and Esteban as guide) to anyone staying in Medellìn that's looking for an awesome day of fun.
