This was such a great... - This was such a great day! Allan was such a wonderful guide! He was not only kind & patient, but was also amazing at spotting wildlife for us! He is really knowledgeable about the plants and animals & helped us get great photos of the wildlife with our iPhones too! We saw 6 sloths, including a baby sloth, monkeys, toucans, beautiful frogs, a viper, etc. The lunch was delicious, the tubing so fun & adventurous, the hike to Rio Celeste was beautiful, and the animal sanctuary was awesome. It’s about a 12-13 hour day (from JW Marriot), so thanks to another reviewer’s suggestion, we packed snacks & were really glad we did. Our kids are ages 8-12 & everyone had a blast. Thank you again, Allan, for making it such an amazing day!

Awesome tour! - Amazing experience on this tour with Blue Zone Tours! It was great to do the combo tour and get in a bit of everything since we were staying 2 hours away. We had our own tour/tour guide - Joiner. The tour started with the wildlife part and it was amazing! In addition to seeing a baby sloth who came down to the ground to poop, we saw some cool snakes and frogs and quite a few sloths in the trees. Joiner was awesome and gave us lots of additional information about the area, and the trees. He was always on the look out for additional wildlife too! We spotted 2 tucans in the trees as we were driving. On the hike to Rio Celeste, he also talked with other tour guides to help us find the small vipers on the path! Waterfall was beautiful! The tubing part was last and super fun - definitely an Adrenaline rush! The tour is well worth the money to see a lot of local wildlife, have a local lunch and check out Rio Celeste!

River Tubing - I had an amazing experience river tubing with Rio Celest Tours. The staff was friendly, professional, and safety-conscious, making the whole adventure enjoyable. The equipment was well-maintained, and the guided tour offered stunning views of the surrounding nature. The river's gentle current made it perfect for relaxing and having fun with friends and family, while some exciting sections added an adrenaline rush. The company provided clear instructions and ensured everyone’s safety throughout the trip. Overall, Rio Celest Tours delivered a memorable outdoor adventure that I highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy nature and have fun on the water.

A Perfect Day in Costa Rica - I can't say enough good things about our Rio Celeste Combo excursion. From the very beginning, the energy was high. Our group of 11 was excited and ready for adventure. We were originally scheduled to do the Blue River Tubing, Blue Waterfall Hike, and Wildlife Sanctuary, but because of recent rains, the waterfall hike was replaced with a coffee and cacao tour. Honestly, it didn't take away from the experience at all. It ended up being one of the highlights. The wildlife sanctuary was unforgettable. Allan, our guide there, was fantastic. He helped us take some amazing macro photos with our phones and made sure we all got to see the sloths, frogs, snakes, and toucans. It was clear that he genuinely cared about the animals and wanted everyone to have a great time. I was initially nervous about the Blue River tubing, but our tubing guide, Fabian, made me feel completely safe. He told us he had been tubing on that river for years, and I could tell he knew what he was doing. That gave me the confidence to join in, and I ended up loving it. The tubing was exciting, fun, and I felt well taken care of the whole time. The coffee and cacao tour was a wonderful surprise. Esteban, our guide there, had the perfect personality for leading a group. He was expressive, fun, and kept us engaged while we tasted some of the best coffee and chocolate I've ever had. But the heart of the day was Michelle, our main tour guide. She was knowledgeable and kind. By the end of the day, I got the sense that she wasn't just our guide but also our friend. She made everything run smoothly and made sure we were enjoying ourselves at every stop. After the main activities and lunch, we stopped at a large souvenir shop, and I was struggling to find the right gift for my mom. Michelle walked around the store with me, helped me pick out something perfect, and it honestly meant a lot to me. It may sound like a small gesture, but it made a huge impression. The whole day exceeded our expectations. From the adventure and wildlife to the chocolate and laughter, every moment felt special. If you're in Costa Rica and considering this excursion, do it. You'll come back with memories, new friends, and a huge smile on your face.

Fun way to spend a day in Costa Rica! - This excursion was fantastic! We saw an incredible variety of wildlife at the animal sanctuary, including toucans, sloths, frogs, bats, an eyelash viper, and countless birds. Although the hike to the waterfall was rainy, it was absolutely worth it for the view at the end. Lunch was delicious, and the river tubing was so much fun. Our guide, Michele, was friendly and knowledgeable, and she and the driver went out of their way to pick us up at our hotel, even though it was a bit out of the way.

Great excursion - The guide was fantastic and the tubing was surreal! Would highly recommend this excursion. The hike to the waterfall was closed but they replaced it right away with coffee and chocolate tour.

Fun and Long Day - Tips for the Trip Below - This was a great trip and we got to see animals and experience the jungle in a unique way. Our guide was great and truly made it worth it with his knowledge of Costa Rica and its flore and fauna. That said, a couple FYIs - 1. You may not do the trip in the order as it’s described below. We started out with the animal sanctuary walk and ended up getting wet despite having our rain jackets. I had packed an extra change of clothes so we used them - that was a must - but we honestly could have used another change after the tubing. 2. Bring lots of snacks. My kids and myself were very hungry and we even went earlier to lunch (before the waterfall hike). We would have been miserable if we went after. And then you won’t eat again until 7/8pm at night. The van was with us the whole day so space for extra clothes, towels and snacks was no issue. 3. The waterfall itself was not super exciting - unfortunately the stairs have collapsed so you can’t get very close and can only see the water that way if you walk about another 20 minutes further. I found that worth it, but it extends the walk and may be an issue for many kids. 4. Bring a separate tip for the tubing guides!! We didn’t know that part was a separate company and only had tip money for our guide and driver originally. So we had to use the driver’s tip to pay the river tubing team. Luckily, we were able to run into our rental house and grab money for the driver when we got home. This trip is totally worth it but definitely follow the above tips to help make the long day perfect!

Rio Celeste tour - The hikes were great, we saw sloths, frogs, snakes, spiders, and a toucan. The best part of the day was by far the river tubing. It was fun, and the water was beautiful. The guides were amazing. Lunch was delicious
