Grindavik: Private Volcano HIke to Fagradalsfjall Eruption site - WHAT an adventure. First and Foremost, I truly believe this was such a great excursion because of our guide; Oddi. Oddi was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and knew how to pace our group according to ability. I personally was having some hip issues and he got me past my fears, and limitations and we made it to the goal ! Wonderful break at the top with homemade goodies and hot chocolate. We also stopped at a WW2 memorial on the way ( incredibly sobering) and the town of Grindavik, which was heartbreaking to see and a reminder of what mother nature can do. We also visited some mudpots on the way back. DO THIS TOUR . I was incredibly wary at first, but this day turned out to be one my favorites on our Iceland adventure!

Iceland with Oddi - Oddi was a great guide, a proud Icelander keen to show off the country he loves. He shared a lot of Iceland’s history old and new.

Non-Active volcanic experience - The trip was awesome and the guide was super friendly. We took many photos, and he was even kind enough to give us hot chocolate and a chocolate bar. The roads were rocky, but our guide was very patient and was happy to help whenever we needed it. He was also very informative. Thank you very much for this amazing experience!

Beyond great - I wasn't very sure if this would be as exciting as I thought it would be, because the volcano wasn't actively erupting ... Gudi gave us the private tour and it was great. He was very patient with us as I was the only one in my family group of 3, that spoke English, and we were continuously stopping for pictures. He was very knowledgeable and partook in my jumping photos which was awesome! Great views great experience, I couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. Thank you Gudni for the experience and the memories.

Epic volcano tour with Oddi - We had the best day with Oddi! This hike is an absolute must. The views from the top are breathtaking and seeing the lava fields were incredible! Oddi was extremely knowledgeable and took the extra time to show us lots of little extras that you would not get to appreciate without a guide!

Incredible Value You Can't Beat, Private Guided Hike is Absolutely Worth It - Oddi was an excellent and informative tour guide who helped us feel safe, informed, and welcomed as he led us through the otherworldly landscape around Fagradalsfjall. He provided a great education that gave us a better understanding and appreciation for the volcanic landscape and Icelandic culture. I traveled with my brother and we both agreed we wouldn't have gotten as much out of the experience if we had went on our own. I usually don't like to do tours, but this trip has completely changed my mind and helped me recognize the value they bring. You may be tempted to venture out on your own but you'd truly be missing out! +10 points extra for the delicious homemade baked goods from our master baker guide, warmed up by an all-natural volcanic "microwave." Private tours are the way to go, take advantage of this offer, you won't regret it.

Highly recommend - Great company all around - My sister and I went to Iceland to celebrate my 40th birthday. We enjoyed the hike despite a little rain. Our guide, Hafpor, was so knowledgeable and helped us to capture videos and photos to always remember this special trip! He also made a killer hotdog at the top! Also, Carlos, who we coordinated and scheduled with was extremely helpful and even moved our hike due to a flight cancellation. All around excellent experience. Would certainly use them again! Competent and trustworthy!

Tailored hiking experience through lava field - An all around great experience, tailored to our needs and speed. We came with our 6yo son who climbed the slope really well with the help of the encouragements from our guide Sigrúd. We got to walk on hot lava (not melting!! Just residual heat!) and it was really awesome. Sigrúd had brought hot chocolate and Icelandic donuts for everyone to enjoy and explained the lava flow to us. Without our guide, we wouldn’t have understood what we were looking at, and we would not have dared to walk on the fuming lava. Highly recommend !
